CVSS v3.1 |
A vulnerability was determined in Freedesktop Poppler 26.07.0. This affects the function FoFiTrueType::mapCodeToGID of the file fofi/FoFiTrueType.cc. Executing a manipulation of the argument segCnt can lead to integer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. This patch is called ed2a5538cf0a8d3ff908191eda9b73f91a5f952a. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue.
A signed integer overflow vulnerability was found in libarchive's ZIP writer. In the archive_write_zip_header function in archive_write_set_format_zip.c, when ZIP encryption is enabled and the entry file size is close to INT64_MAX, the addition of the encryption overhead to the entry size overflows int64_t, resulting in undefined behavior. This could lead to incorrect Zip64 extension decisions or potential memory corruption.
OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A truncated tga can leave a pending gif frame that is processed during output close. gifsplitpalette() computes numpixels multiplied by the palette partition width in signed 32-bit arithmetic; a large image overflows that intermediate, corrupts subpixelsa, and drives an out-of-bounds read while building the gif palette, resulting in a process crash and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/gif.imageio/gif.h, GifSplitPalette(), numPixels, subPixelsA, GIFOutput, and truncated TGA input, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1.
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 8.0.0 until 8.0.6, the SIP parser in rust/src/sip/parser.rs stores request and response body lengths in 16-bit fields. A SIP body larger than 65,536 bytes can truncate the length and prevent frame:request.body or frame:response.body from exposing the complete body to inspection, allowing content in the omitted portion to evade frame-based detection. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6.
FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.5.0 until 2.5.6, the native DLS parser validates ptbl chunks with the unsigned expression cues * 4 + cbsize without checking whether the multiplication and addition fit in 32 bits. A crafted DLS file can supply a large cues value that wraps the expression and passes the chunk-size check, causing poolcues.resize(cues) to request approximately four gigabytes and the parser to read billions of entries beyond the chunk boundary. The excessive allocation and invalid reads can cause denial of service. Builds with enable-native-dls set to OFF are not exposed. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6.
ESPAsyncWebServer is an asynchronous HTTP and WebSocket server library for ESP32, ESP8266, RP2040 and RP2350. Prior to 3.11.1, the multipart/form-data parser in src/WebRequest.cpp stores _boundaryPosition as an 8-bit value while _parseMultipartPostByte processes the boundary. A remote request containing an exactly 256-byte multipart boundary wraps _boundaryPosition from 255 to zero, prevents the boundary parsing loop from terminating, consumes excessive CPU, and triggers a FreeRTOS watchdog reset on affected ESP32 or ESP8266 devices. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.1.
A security flaw has been discovered in JusticeRage Manalyze 1.0.0. The affected element is the function PE::_parse_debug of the file manape/pe.cpp of the component PE Parser. The manipulation of the argument misc.Length results in integer underflow. The attack may be performed from remote. The patch is identified as 3e299685759f4f767088871de58c5d07f98ee382. A patch should be applied to remediate this issue.
Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Windows File History Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Windows PDF allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
HP has identified and remediated multiple externally reported vulnerabilities within HPLIP. The findings affect several software components that could potentially enable remote code execution, privilege escalation, denial of service, information disclosure, or unauthorized file modification under certain conditions.
In multiple locations, there is a possible permission bypass due to an integer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
In VPU, there is a possible out-of-bounds write due to an integer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
msgpack-java through 0.9.12 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in MessageUnpacker.skipValue() when processing MAP32 containers with large element counts. Attackers can supply a MAP32 element count at or above 0x40000000 that wraps when doubled, causing the parser cursor to desynchronize and attacker-controlled data to be returned in place of later fields.
In multiple locations, there is a possible permission bypass due to an integer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.5.0 until 2.5.6, the SF2 parser computes the DMOD modulator count as chunk.size / SF_MOD_SIZE - 1 without rejecting chunks smaller than one record. A crafted SF2 file containing a zero-sized DMOD chunk makes the unsigned subtraction wrap to UINT_MAX, and the parser then attempts billions of SFMod allocations. This exhausts process memory and causes denial of service. No workaround is available. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6.
Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Windows Search Component allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
IBM MQ could allow an authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code due to an integer overflow in distribution list processing.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: validate MOVE_RANGE destination size
F2FS_IOC_MOVE_RANGE checks the source range, but not the destination end
before updating i_size. A source hole can expose this: __clone_blkaddrs()
skips NULL_ADDR entries and returns success, so the caller can still extend
the destination inode with unchecked pos_out + len.
Reject destination overflow and use inode_newsize_ok() before extending
the destination inode. |
In RtcpFbPacket::decodeRtcpFbPacket, there is a possible out of bounds read due to an integer overflow. This could lead to remote information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is needed for exploitation.
A flaw was found in GStreamer gst-plugins-good (avidemux). When parsing FUJIFILM metadata in an AVI strd chunk, gst_avi_demux_parse_strd() decrements a remaining-length counter by fixed offsets (98 and 10 bytes) without verifying sufficient data remains. For crafted strd payloads of exactly 106 or 107 bytes, the counter underflows to a very large unsigned value, causing subsequent null-terminated string scanning to read far beyond the allocated heap buffer. Date-format normalization may also write beyond the buffer end. Confirmed impacts include heap out-of-bounds read, out-of-bounds write, heap information disclosure (adjacent data appearing in parsed metadata), and application crash/denial of service. The avidemux element is auto-plugged by playbin, decodebin, and gst-discoverer, so opening or previewing a crafted AVI is sufficient to trigger the issue. Fixed upstream in gst-plugins-good 1.28.6 (GStreamer-SA-2026-0072).
