CVE-2026-61670 1 Superradcompany 1 Microsandbox 2026-09-21 6.5 Medium
microsandbox is an easy, fast, local-first microVM runtime and library. Prior to 0.5.10, sdk/rust/lib/runtime/spawn.rs serializes NetworkConfig secret values into the --network-config argument and passes per-sandbox secrets through repeated --env arguments accepted by crates/cli/lib/sandbox_cmd.rs. Other local users or co-resident processes can read these values through the host process table, including /proc process command lines on Linux and process listings on Linux and macOS, for the lifetime of the sandbox. Exploitation does not require code execution inside the sandbox or access to the spawning user's session, and can disclose host-side API keys, tokens, and environment secrets on shared hosts, CI runners, and developer systems. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.10.
CVE-2026-92768 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-09-18 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in cockpit-machines. This vulnerability allows a local attacker to expose sensitive Virtual Machine (VM) credentials, including plaintext passwords, by inspecting process command-line arguments during VM creation or installation. The cockpit-machines component passes password values directly on the command line, making them visible to other local users on systems where process arguments are not restricted. Successful exploitation leads to information disclosure, potentially compromising VM access.
CVE-2026-92747 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-09-18 5 Medium
A flaw was found in `cockpit-machines`. This vulnerability allows a local attacker with the ability to inspect running processes to expose sensitive guest virtual machine (VM) credentials, such as `rootPassword` and `userPassword`. This occurs when the `install_machine.py` script passes these credentials as a JSON command-line argument during VM creation or installation. The exposure is limited to the period when the installation workflow is active and depends on host process-visibility policies.
CVE-2026-92745 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-09-18 5 Medium
A flaw was found in cockpit-machines. This vulnerability allows a local attacker with the ability to inspect process metadata to disclose a sensitive Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM) offline token. The token is exposed when it is passed as a command-line argument to a helper script during the token validation process. Successful exploitation could lead to the compromise of confidentiality, as the exposed token can be used to request access tokens.
CVE-2026-89846 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Bound rsp_info_len to avoid OOB sense-data read In qla2x00_status_entry(), the FWI2 status path advances sense_data and shrinks par_sense_len by rsp_info_len: if (IS_FWI2_CAPABLE(ha)) { sense_data += rsp_info_len; par_sense_len -= rsp_info_len; } rsp_info_len is a 32-bit value taken directly from the target's FCP response (sf.rsp_data_len), while par_sense_len is the IOCB data area size (28 bytes for 24xx, 60 bytes for 29xx). A hostile or buggy target reporting an rsp_info_len larger than par_sense_len makes the unsigned subtraction underflow to a huge value and advances sense_data out of bounds. The underflowed par_sense_len then defeats the cap in qla2x00_handle_sense(): if (sense_len > par_sense_len) sense_len = par_sense_len; memcpy(cp->sense_buffer, sense_data, sense_len); so the memcpy reads up to SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE bytes from the out-of-bounds sense_data pointer, leaking adjacent response-ring/heap memory into the command's sense buffer. Clamp rsp_info_len to par_sense_len before the subtraction so par_sense_len can never underflow and sense_data stays within the IOCB data area. The fix sits before the comp_status switch, covering both qla2x00_handle_sense() call sites.
CVE-2026-81684 1 Jahlives 1 Openssl Encrypt 2026-09-03 6.2 Medium
In openssl_encrypt (pip package openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8, the desktop GUI passes the steganography password to the CLI child process on the command line via the --stego-password argument (on both encrypt and decrypt paths) instead of via an environment variable as done for the main password. Any local user can read the steganography password from /proc/<pid>/cmdline for the lifetime of the subprocess. Fixed in 1.4.9.
CVE-2026-65088 2 Linux, Nvidia 2 Linux Kernel, Nemoclaw 2026-09-01 5.5 Medium
NVIDIA NemoClaw contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause invocation of process using visible sensitive information. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to information disclosure.
CVE-2026-74873 1 Jahlives 1 Openssl Encrypt 2026-09-01 5.5 Medium
openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.0 expose passwords passed via the --password CLI argument in process listings accessible to all system users. Attackers can read process arguments through ps aux or /proc/[pid]/cmdline to retrieve plaintext passwords and keystore passwords.
CVE-2026-80158 1 Redhat 3 Ceph Storage, Openstack, Openstack Platform 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the ipa_getkeytab module of the community.general Ansible collection. The module's bind_pw parameter, used to supply the LDAP simple-bind password when retrieving a Kerberos keytab, is not declared with no_log, unlike the sibling password parameter in the same module. As a consequence, the supplied IPA/LDAP bind password is recorded in cleartext in the managed host's system journal/syslog (the module's "Invoked with" record), is included in the module's return values and verbose (-v) output, and is displayed in Automation Controller / AWX job output. The password is additionally passed on the command line to the ipa-getkeytab helper (as --bindpw <value>), exposing it in the process list to local users while the command runs. An attacker able to read these logs, job output, or the process table can obtain the directory bind credential, potentially compromising the accounts and objects that credential can access.
CVE-2026-76054 1 Black Duck 1 Blackduck-c-cpp 2026-08-24 N/A
Invocation of Process Using Visible Sensitive Information in Black Duck blackduck-c-cpp 1.0.17 through 3.0.6 allows an actor able to execute code within the scanned project's build to obtain the Black Duck API token via the ambient process environment, which is inherited by subprocesses launched during build capture and signature scanning. This applies only where the token is supplied through the BLACKDUCK_API_TOKEN or BD_HUB_TOKEN environment variable. Upgrading does not remediate prior disclosure; any token supplied to an affected version through an environment variable should be rotated.
CVE-2026-12139 1 Tanium 1 Connect 2026-08-18 4.4 Medium
Tanium addressed an information disclosure vulnerability in Connect.
CVE-2026-67322 2 Gitpython-developers, Gitpython Project 2 Gitpython, Gitpython 2026-08-14 7.5 High
GitPython before 3.1.52 is vulnerable to environment-variable exfiltration in Repo.clone_from(). The caller-supplied remote URL is passed through Git.polish_url(), which on non-Cygwin platforms calls os.path.expandvars() on the URL before invoking git clone. An attacker who controls the clone URL can embed $NAME or ${NAME} tokens that are expanded to the values of the hosting process's environment variables (e.g., AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY or GITHUB_TOKEN). The resulting URL, now containing the secret, is transmitted over the network to an attacker-controlled host during the clone attempt, disclosing the secret.
CVE-2026-18915 1 Tubitak Bilgem Software Technologies Research Institute 1 Eta-otp-lock 2026-08-07 5 Medium
Invocation of process using visible sensitive information vulnerability in TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Software Technologies Research Institute eta-otp-lock allows System Footprinting. This issue affects eta-otp-lock: before 1.0.4.
CVE-2026-12250 1 Tubitak Bilgem Software Technologies Research Institute 1 Pardus Domain Joiner 2026-07-29 7.9 High
Invocation of process using visible sensitive information vulnerability in TUBITAK BILGEM Software Technologies Research Institute Pardus Domain Joiner allows Excavation. This issue affects Pardus Domain Joiner: from 0.5.2 before 0.5.4.
CVE-2026-9494 1 Canonical 2 Ubuntu, Ubuntu-pro-client 2026-07-23 5.5 Medium
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Canonical ubuntu-pro-client (formerly ubuntu-advantage-tools). The client validates Ubuntu Pro APT credentials by executing /usr/lib/apt/apt-helper using the download-file command. During this process, the secret bearer token is embedded directly in the cleartext URL component passed via the command-line arguments (argv), resulting in a URL format such as https://bearer:<token>@esm.ubuntu.com/.../. On systems utilizing a default-mounted /proc file system where process-hiding mitigations (such as hidepid) are disabled, an unprivileged local attacker can monitor system processes and read the sensitive bearer token directly from /proc/cmdline while the helper process is actively running. This leaked token can subsequently be used to gain unauthorized access to the victim's Ubuntu Pro or Expanded Security Maintenance (ESM) repositories.
CVE-2026-41357 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-04-24 3.3 Low
OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 contains an environment variable leakage vulnerability in SSH-based sandbox backends that pass unsanitized process.env to child processes. Attackers can exploit this by leveraging non-default SSH environment forwarding configurations to leak sensitive environment variables from parent processes to SSH child processes.
CVE-2026-40159 2 Mervinpraison, Praison 2 Praisonai, Praisonai 2026-04-20 5.5 Medium
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to 4.5.128, PraisonAI’s MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration allows spawning background servers via stdio using user-supplied command strings (e.g., MCP("npx -y @smithery/cli ...")). These commands are executed through Python’s subprocess module. By default, the implementation forwards the entire parent process environment to the spawned subprocess. As a result, any MCP command executed in this manner inherits all environment variables from the host process, including sensitive data such as API keys, authentication tokens, and database credentials. This behavior introduces a security risk when untrusted or third-party commands are used. In common scenarios where MCP tools are invoked via package runners such as npx -y, arbitrary code from external or potentially compromised packages may execute with access to these inherited environment variables. This creates a risk of unintended credential exposure and enables potential supply chain attacks through silent exfiltration of secrets. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.128.
CVE-2025-32987 2026-04-15 6 Medium
Arctera eDiscovery Platform before 10.3.2, when Enterprise Vault Collection Module is used, places a cleartext password on a command line in EVSearcher.
CVE-2024-39314 2026-04-15 4.7 Medium
toy-blog is a headless content management system implementation. Starting in version 0.4.3 and prior to version 0.5.0, the administrative password was leaked through the command line parameter. The problem was patched in version 0.5.0. As a workaround, pass `--read-bearer-token-from-stdin` to the launch arguments and feed the token from the standard input in version 0.4.14 or later. Earlier versions do not have this workaround.
CVE-2026-33247 2 Linuxfoundation, Nats 2 Nats-server, Nats Server 2026-03-27 7.4 High
NATS-Server is a High-Performance server for NATS.io, a cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to versions 2.11.15 and 2.12.6, if a nats-server is run with static credentials for all clients provided via argv (the command-line), then those credentials are visible to any user who can see the monitoring port, if that too is enabled. The `/debug/vars` end-point contains an unredacted copy of argv. Versions 2.11.15 and 2.12.6 contain a fix. As a workaround, configure credentials inside a configuration file instead of via argv, and do not enable the monitoring port if using secrets in argv. Best practice remains to not expose the monitoring port to the Internet, or to untrusted network sources.
