CVSS v3.1 |
A flaw was found in rsyslog. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger a heap buffer overflow in the RainerScript `replace()` function by sending specially crafted syslog messages. This vulnerability arises from an incorrect buffer size calculation during string replacement, causing memory corruption. Successful exploitation can lead to a denial of service (DoS) for the affected system.
A vulnerability was determined in Freedesktop Poppler 26.07.0. This affects the function FoFiTrueType::mapCodeToGID of the file fofi/FoFiTrueType.cc. Executing a manipulation of the argument segCnt can lead to integer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. This patch is called ed2a5538cf0a8d3ff908191eda9b73f91a5f952a. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue.
PoDoFo is a C++17 PDF manipulation library. From version 1.0.0 until 1.1.1, processing a crafted PDF with an Indexed color-space image can cause a heap out-of-bounds read in PdfColorSpaceFilterIndexed::FetchScanLine in src/podofo/main/PdfColorSpaceFilter.cpp. PODOFO_INVARIANT does not perform a runtime check, so a pixel index greater than or equal to m_MapSize can address beyond m_lookup. PdfColorSpaceFilterFactory::TryCreateFromObject also validates hival with an incorrect conjunction and no upper bound, allowing malformed Indexed color-space metadata outside the expected range. The resulting read can disclose adjacent heap data or crash the processing application. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.1.
A flaw was found in libarchive. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to trigger a heap overflow by providing a specially crafted tar archive. The issue occurs during the parsing of a PAX extended header containing a malformed SUN.holesdata sparse-file attribute. Successful exploitation could lead to a denial of service, making the system unavailable, or potentially allow for arbitrary code execution, giving the attacker control over the affected system.
A signed integer overflow vulnerability was found in libarchive's ZIP writer. In the archive_write_zip_header function in archive_write_set_format_zip.c, when ZIP encryption is enabled and the entry file size is close to INT64_MAX, the addition of the encryption overhead to the entry size overflows int64_t, resulting in undefined behavior. This could lead to incorrect Zip64 extension decisions or potential memory corruption.
An out-of-bounds read in the node_token_count/relation_token_count component of FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 5.2.2, Chartbrew's runQuery() implementation in server/modules/ai/orchestrator/tools/runQuery.js attempts to enforce read-only database access with a blocklist containing only seven SQL keywords. An authenticated user with AI feature access can submit dangerous statements or database functions that are absent from the read-only keyword blocklist, causing them to execute without SQL injection or keyword-obfuscation techniques. Depending on the database engine, configuration, and database-user privileges, this can expose or write files, access internal network resources, change database privileges, execute commands, or alter data. This issue is fixed in version 5.2.2.
Buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the underlying operating system of EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways that could allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to execute arbitrary code if certain preconditions outside of the attacker's control are met. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system leading to complete system compromise.
Buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the API endpoint of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to run arbitrary commands on the underlying host if certain preconditions outside of the attacker's control are met. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system leading to complete system compromise.
rhwp is an HWP viewer and editor implemented in Rust and WebAssembly. Prior to rhwp 0.7.15 and rhwp Chrome and Firefox extension 0.2.4, the browser extensions use an all-URLs host permission to detect HWP and HWPX links on visited pages, but the service workers do not validate message senders, URL schemes, or destination addresses before privileged fetches. The affected paths are rhwp-chrome/manifest.json, rhwp-chrome/content-script.js, rhwp-chrome/sw/message-router.js, rhwp-chrome/sw/thumbnail-extractor.js, rhwp-firefox/manifest.json, rhwp-firefox/content-script.js, rhwp-firefox/sw/message-router.js, and rhwp-firefox/sw/thumbnail-extractor.js. An untrusted page can make the fetch-file and extract-thumbnail handlers request localhost or private-network resources. When a target HWP or HWPX file contains an extractable PrvImage, the extension returns the preview as a data URI in page-readable DOM, allowing page script to read it. The flaw also permits internal-resource existence and port probing and extension presence or version fingerprinting. Exploitation requires a user to visit an untrusted page while the extension is enabled, and preview disclosure is limited to an extractable PrvImage. This issue is fixed in rhwp 0.7.15 and rhwp Chrome and Firefox extension 0.2.4.
Incorrect boundary conditions in the DOM: Animation component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156 and Thunderbird 156.
A flaw was found in libstoragemgmt. An attacker with control over a local or virtual storage device could provide specially crafted SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) Vital Product Data (VPD) page 0x80 data. This malformed data, specifically an untrusted page length field, can lead to a stack buffer overflow in the `_sg_parse_vpd_80()` function during serial number parsing. Successful exploitation could result in a denial of service by crashing or destabilizing the process querying the serial number.
Sync-in Server is an open-source platform for file storage, sharing, collaboration, and syncing. Prior to version 2.4.0, the sync diff endpoint compiles a user-supplied string into a `RegExp` with no complexity validation. A catastrophic-backtracking pattern (e.g. `^(a+)+b`) blocks the Node.js event loop, making the entire server unresponsive to all users until the container is restarted. Version 2.4.0 patches the issue.
Netcore NR255-V version 1.5.130703 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in filter_arp_put_file.cgi caused by improper use of a string handling API. Attackers can trigger an unterminated buffer over-read by exploiting this flaw in the affected component, potentially exposing adjacent memory contents.
Sanic is an opensource python web server/framework. Prior to version 24.12.1, and in version 25.12.0, the HTTP/1.1 response pipeline in sanic/response/types.py serializes response header names and values without rejecting carriage-return or line-feed characters. Applications that place attacker-controlled data in response.headers, file(..., filename=...), or cookie path and domain attributes can therefore emit injected headers and may split responses. Depending on application and proxy behavior, this can enable session fixation through injected cookies, cache poisoning, or security-header corruption. This issue is fixed in versions 24.12.1 and 25.12.1.
Tinyauth is an authentication and authorization server. Prior to 5.1.2, Tinyauth compares forwarded hostnames case-sensitively while reverse proxies route equivalent hostnames case-insensitively, allowing an authenticated low-privilege user to bypass per-app access controls with a differently cased hostname. The lookup in internal/service/access_controls_service.go through lookupStaticACLs and GetAccessControls, and the Docker-label fallback in internal/service/docker_service.go through GetLabels, can miss the configured app and return an empty access-control object. internal/controller/proxy_controller.go proxyHandler then treats the empty user, group, OAuth, LDAP, and IP restrictions as permissive and returns an authenticated result for an app that should exclude the user. Unauthenticated users remain subject to login, and global login-time allowlists are not bypassed. This issue is fixed in version 5.1.2.
PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In 2.17 and earlier, the PJSIP AVI parser in pjmedia/src/pjmedia/avi_player.c uses an input-file video chunk length as the number of bytes copied into a frame buffer whose capacity is derived from the declared media dimensions. A crafted AVI file can therefore cause an attacker-controlled out-of-bounds write past the heap allocation when an application plays the file or pulls its frames. The existing size assertion does not protect production release builds, where assertions are disabled. Typical local playback can crash the process, while applications that accept untrusted AVI sources expose a stronger memory-corruption condition. No fixed version is available as of this review.
OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A truncated tga can leave a pending gif frame that is processed during output close. gifsplitpalette() computes numpixels multiplied by the palette partition width in signed 32-bit arithmetic; a large image overflows that intermediate, corrupts subpixelsa, and drives an out-of-bounds read while building the gif palette, resulting in a process crash and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/gif.imageio/gif.h, GifSplitPalette(), numPixels, subPixelsA, GIFOutput, and truncated TGA input, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1.
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 8.0.0 until 8.0.6, the SIP parser in rust/src/sip/parser.rs stores request and response body lengths in 16-bit fields. A SIP body larger than 65,536 bytes can truncate the length and prevent frame:request.body or frame:response.body from exposing the complete body to inspection, allowing content in the omitted portion to evade frame-based detection. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6.
OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A valid tiled openexr image whose width is not a multiple of its tile width can trigger an overflow when a caller reads a partial edge-tile rectangle. openexrinput::read_native_tiles() copies each row into the caller buffer using the padded whole-tile scanline_stride rather than user_scanline_bytes for the requested rectangle, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The affected implementation is identified by src/openexr.imageio/exrinput.cpp, OpenEXRInput::read_native_tiles(), partial edge tile, user_scanline_bytes, and scanline_stride, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1.
