CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tracing: Take the reference before publishing the named histogram trigger
event_hist_trigger_named_init() puts the trigger on the global
named_triggers list and only then takes the reference on the trigger it
shares its histogram with:
data->ref++;
save_named_trigger(data->named_data->name, data);
ret = event_hist_trigger_init(data->named_data);
if (ret < 0) {
kfree(data->cmd_ops);
data->cmd_ops = &trigger_hist_cmd;
}
return ret;
event_hist_trigger_init() fails when alloc_hist_pad() cannot allocate, and
nothing takes the trigger back off the list on the way out.
event_hist_trigger_parse() frees it, and the next lookup by name reads the
freed object:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Validate full buffer range in ivpu_to_cpu_addr
Add a size parameter to ivpu_to_cpu_addr() and validate that the
whole [vpu_addr, vpu_addr + size) range stays within the BO. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Limit firmware log name prints to field size
The name in struct vpu_tracing_buffer_header is a fixed-size array
populated by the NPU firmware. It is expected to be NUL-terminated,
but nothing on the host side enforces this, so printing it with an
unbounded string conversion would read past the field if the
terminator is ever missing and expose adjacent bytes of the shared
tracing BO through dmesg and the debugfs FW log output.
Print at most as many characters as the name field holds, so the output
never runs past it even if the string is not NUL-terminated. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bootconfig: Fix integer overflow in initrd size check
Sashiko reported that in get_boot_config_from_initrd(), a crafted initrd
with a huge bootconfig size (such as 0xFFFFFFFF) can cause the pointer
arithmetic:
data = ((void *)hdr) - size;
to wrap around on 32-bit systems (or when pointer subtraction overflows).
Because data wraps around, the subsequent bounds check:
if ((unsigned long)data < initrd_start)
evaluates to false, bypassing the check. The kernel then calls
xbc_calc_checksum(data, size), which attempts to read 4GB of memory,
hitting unmapped pages and triggering a fatal kernel page fault during
early boot. Furthermore, on 64-bit systems with an initrd > 4.29 GB, an
unbounded 32-bit size can similarly bypass the initrd_start check.
Fix this by:
1. Ensuring the initrd is at least large enough to contain the bootconfig
footer and verifying hdr is within the initrd bounds.
2. Checking that size does not exceed XBC_DATA_MAX and does not exceed
the available space between initrd_start and hdr before performing
pointer subtraction. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ieee802154: 6lowpan: fix NULL dereference in lowpan_newlink
TUNSETLINK allows a TUN device to change its link-layer type to
ARPHRD_IEEE802154 without initializing ieee802154_ptr. lowpan_newlink()
checks only the device type before dereferencing the pointer, so an
RTM_NEWLINK request can trigger a NULL pointer dereference.
Reject devices without ieee802154_ptr along with devices of the wrong type. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/pagemap: dma-unmap pages before handling migration errors
drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() relies on the pages array to determine
which pages require DMA unmapping. However,
drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() clears the array as part of its
cleanup, leaving drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() with no valid page
information if it is called afterward.
Call drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() before
drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() so the pages array remains
valid during DMA unmapping. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_conntrack: use get_unaligned_be32() in tcp_sack()
The timestamp-only fast path dereferences the option stream as
*(__be32 *)ptr, which assumes 4-byte alignment that the TCP option
stream does not guarantee. Use get_unaligned_be32() instead, which
reads the value safely and already returns host byte order, so the
htonl() on the comparison constant can be dropped.
This matches the existing get_unaligned_be32() use later in the same
function. |

dsze == 0 or a descriptor past the log end cannot cause unbounded

| Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. Prior to 0.90.1, an authenticated workspace ADMIN can use the workspace invitation flow to invite an external email address with the OWNER role because the role ceiling does not prevent ADMIN users from granting privileges above their own. When the invitation is accepted, the new account receives OWNER-level permissions, allowing the ADMIN to create a backdoor OWNER account or promote a colluding external user to the workspace's highest privilege level. This issue is fixed in version 0.90.1. |
| redis-parser through 3.0.0 fails to validate the multi-bulk length value in RESP protocol parsing, allowing attackers to trigger an uncaught RangeError by supplying an excessively large declared length. A malicious or compromised Redis endpoint can deliver a crafted RESP header with a length above 2^32-1 to crash the Node.js client process. |
| ServiceNow has remediated an authorization bypass security issue that was identified in the ServiceNow AI Platform. This security issue, if exploited, could enable an unauthenticated user to access data within the ServiceNow AI Platform that the user otherwise would not be entitled to access, potentially enabling further unintended access.
ServiceNow deployed a security update to hosted instances and ServiceNow provided the update to our partners and self-hosted customers. We are not currently aware of malicious exploitation against ServiceNow instances. We recommend customers promptly apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release if they have not already done so. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: octeon: add missing napi_disable in cvm_oct_rx_shutdown
cvm_oct_rx_shutdown calls free_irq and netif_napi_del without
disabling the napi instance first. As the free_irq only waits
for completion of hard interrupt handlers, the napi poll
function could still be active. If cvm_oct_remove proceeds to
free the plat structure (which holds the NAPI instances), the
active poll function will access freed memory, resulting in a
use-after-free crash. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
greybus: audio: bound the topology section sizes against the fetched size
gb_audio_gb_get_topology() fetches a topology blob of a module-supplied
size, and gbaudio_tplg_parse_data() then walks it by adding the
module-supplied size_dais, size_controls and size_widgets fields to
form the control, widget and route section offsets. Those le32 sizes
are never checked against the fetched blob, so a module reporting a
small topology size but large section sizes makes the offsets point
past the allocation, and parsing reads out of bounds.
Reject a topology whose section sizes do not fit within the fetched
size before it is parsed. |

wifi: rtw89: fix HE extended capability length check
rtw89_mac_check_he_obss_narrow_bw_ru_iter() reads extended capability

least 11 bytes.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path
The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in
i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints
and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer
implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to
reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked.
Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block
transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds
I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback
runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads,
so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually
supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL
convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers
at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver
implementations, and the emulated path.
Two distinct bugs are fixed by this change:
Bug 1: smbus_write tracepoint OOB (include/trace/events/smbus.h)
trace_smbus_write() fires before any validation and copies
data->block[0]+1 bytes into a 34-byte event buffer. With
block[0]=0xfe the tracepoint copies 255 bytes, overflowing by 221.

Bug 2: i2c-stub I2C_SMBUS_I2C_BLOCK_DATA OOB (drivers/i2c/i2c-stub.c)
stub_xfer() implements .smbus_xfer directly and only clamps
block[0] against 256-command, not I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX. With
block[0]=0xff and command=0 the loop accesses block[1+i] for
i up to 254, far past the 34-byte union.
