CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: amd: isp4: release partial allocations in isp4if_alloc_fw_gpumem()
isp4if_alloc_fw_gpumem() allocates several GPU memory pools in sequence.
If one of them fails, it jumps to error_no_memory and returns -ENOMEM
without releasing the pools that were already allocated, leaking them.
Release the already-allocated pools before returning. isp4if_gpu_mem_free()
is a no-op on pools that were not allocated, so calling
isp4if_dealloc_fw_gpumem() here safely frees exactly the pools that
succeeded.
isp4if_gpu_mem_free() previously logged an error for a NULL entry, which
is a normal case during partial-allocation cleanup, so make it silent. |
| The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 3.0.8 until 3.0.12, processScramAuthenticationInfo and processAuthenticationInfo compute the SCRAM ServerSignature or Digest rspauth verification result but log a mismatch and still deliver the response as authenticated. On a non-TLS or compromised transport, a peer that has not proved knowledge of the shared secret can therefore be accepted as the server. The fix rejects a present invalid value and computes Digest rspauth from the Authorization parameters actually sent, but verification remains unenforced when the value is absent, the sent parameters cannot be recovered, or Digest uses qop=auth-int. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.12. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix valid block count leak on data block allocation failure
In __allocate_data_block(), when allocating a new data block
(dn->data_blkaddr == NULL_ADDR), inc_valid_block_count() is
called first to increment total_valid_block_count and i_blocks.
If the subsequent f2fs_allocate_data_block() fails, the function
returns the error directly without rolling back the
already-incremented block counts, causing a permanent leak.
Fix this by calling dec_valid_block_count() to undo the
increment before returning the error. The condition
old_blkaddr == NULL_ADDR precisely identifies the case where
inc_valid_block_count() was called. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ethosu: fix job completion fence cleanup
ethosu_ioctl_submit_job() allocates done_fence before validating buffer
handles. Errors after allocation call ethosu_job_err_cleanup(), which frees
the job but leaks the uninitialized fence.
A scheduler dependency error also lets ethosu_job_run() return before
dma_fence_init(). Normal cleanup then passes a zeroed refcount to
dma_fence_put().
Release done_fence in the common cleanup path and use
dma_fence_was_initialized() to distinguish initialized fences from raw
allocations.

| undici's experimental WebSocketStream client crashes the whole Node.js process when a remote peer closes the TCP connection without a WebSocket close handshake. On an unclean close the internal socket-close handler calls abort on the writable stream unconditionally and discards the returned promise, but per the WHATWG Streams standard aborting a locked writable returns a promise that rejects with a TypeError. Because the application holds a writer on that writable, which is the only way to write, the rejection is never observed and Node's default unhandled-rejection behavior terminates the process. An untrusted server can therefore crash a client with a single abrupt disconnect, with no authentication and no application mistake. This affects undici versions from 7.0.0 up to 7.29.1 and from 8.0.0 up to 8.10.2. Users should upgrade to undici 7.29.1 or 8.10.2. |

Commit d93231a6bc8a ("ceph: prevent a client from exceeding the MDS
maximum xattr size") moved the required_blob_size computation to before
the __build_xattrs() call, introducing a race.
__build_xattrs() releases and reacquires i_ceph_lock during execution.
In that window, handle_cap_grant() may update i_xattrs.blob with a
newer MDS-provided blob and bump i_xattrs.version. When

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ring-buffer: Stop remote reader update when page swap fails
The remote swap_reader_page callback can return -EBUSY when the writer
moves the head before the remote catches it, particularly during an event
storm on a small buffer. __rb_get_reader_page_from_remote() currently
warns about that failure but continues with the unchanged reader ID and
rearranges the local page list as though the swap succeeded.
Handle the callback failure as a recoverable error. Report it with
pr_warn_ratelimited() and return NULL. Callers already handle a NULL reader
page as a failed attempt. This avoids splicing the same page as both the
previous and new reader without flooding the log under contention. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommufd: Fix wrong hwpt passed to iommufd_auto_response_faults on replace
iommufd_hwpt_replace_device() calls:
iommufd_auto_response_faults(hwpt, old_handle);
passing the *new* hwpt together with the handle of
the device's *old* domain. This should be a parameter mismatch:
1. Semantically, iommufd_auto_response_faults(x, handle) scans
x->fault's deliver list and response xarray for groups matching
"handle". A group is queued under the hwpt that was attached at
fault-delivery time. old_handle is fetched *before* the domain switch,
so its group lives on old->fault, not on the new hwpt->fault.
2. Historically, the first argument was "old". The routine was
introduced by commit b7d8833677ba ("iommufd: Fault-capable hwpt
attach/detach/replace") as __fault_domain_replace_dev() in
fault.c, correctly calling iommufd_auto_response_faults(old, curr).
Commit fb21b1568ada ("iommufd: Make attach_handle generic than
fault specific") moved this into iommufd_hwpt_replace_device() in
device.c and swapped it to "hwpt". This should be a refactor regression,
not an intentional change.
Fix this by passing "old" instead. |

netfilter: handle unreadable frags
sashiko reports:
When an skb with unreadable fragments (such as from devmem TCP, where
skb_frags_readable(skb) returns false) is processed by the u32 module,
skb_copy_bits() will safely return a negative error code [..]
xt_u32: bail out with hotdrop in this case.

nfnetlink_queue: restrict to the linear part.
nfnetlink_log: restrict to the linear part.
v2:
- skb_zerocopy helpers don't copy readable flag, i.e. nfnetlink_queue
is broken too
xt_u32 shouldn't return true if hotdrop was set. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
block: skip sync_blockdev() on surprise removal in bdev_mark_dead()
bdev_mark_dead()'s @surprise == true means the device is already gone.
The filesystem callback fs_bdev_mark_dead() honours this and skips
sync_filesystem(), but the bare block device path (no ->mark_dead op)
lost its !surprise guard when the holder ->mark_dead callback was wired
up (see Fixes), and now calls sync_blockdev() unconditionally, which can
hang forever waiting on writeback that can no longer complete.
syzkaller hit this via nvme_reset_work()'s "I/O queues lost" path:
nvme_mark_namespaces_dead() -> blk_mark_disk_dead() ->
bdev_mark_dead(bdev, true) -> sync_blockdev() blocks in
folio_wait_writeback(), wedging the reset worker and every task waiting
on it.
Skip the sync on surprise removal, matching fs_bdev_mark_dead();
invalidate_bdev() still runs. Orderly removal (surprise == false) is
unchanged.
Found by FuzzNvme(Syzkaller with FEMU fuzzing framework). |
| util-linux versions through 2.41.5 and 2.42.2 fail to check mount helper exit status before running post-mount hooks, allowing unprivileged users to execute privileged operations on pre-existing filesystems. Attackers can exploit X-mount.idmap or X-mount.owner hooks to clone filesystems with inherited suid bits or modify target inode permissions after a helper fails, achieving privilege escalation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_tables_offload: suppress WARN_ON_ONCE for ENOMEM in abort path
In nft_flow_rule_offload_abort(), WARN_ON_ONCE(err) is triggered on every
error during rollback, including -ENOMEM. Memory allocation failures are
expected under low-memory conditions and do not indicate a kernel bug.
Trace for example:
nft_flow_offload_chain() // FLOW_BLOCK_BIND
nft_flow_block_chain()
nft_chain_offload_cmd()
nft_block_offload_cmd()
->ndo_setup_tc()
nsim_setup_tc()
flow_block_cb_setup_simple()
flow_block_cb_alloc() // fails to -ENOMEM
The warning was reproduced on the 5.10 stable kernel under memory pressure
via fault injection, but the underlying bug exists in mainline as well,
as demonstrated by the ENOMEM trace above. The following splat was
triggered during nf_tables transaction processing:

Change the condition to WARN_ON_ONCE(err && err != -ENOMEM) so that
warnings are only emitted for unexpected errors. This aligns with the
common kernel practice of not warning on -ENOMEM.
