CVSS v3.1 |
| SSH, as implemented in OpenSSH before 4.0 and possibly other implementations, stores hostnames, IP addresses, and keys in plaintext in the known_hosts file, which makes it easier for an attacker that has compromised an SSH user's account to generate a list of additional targets that are more likely to have the same password or key. |
| ClickCartPro 4.0 stores the admin_user.db data file under the web document root with insufficient access control on servers other than Apache, which allows remote attackers to obtain usernames and passwords. |
| TippingPoint IPS running the TippingPoint Operating System (TOS) before 2.2.4.6519 allows remote attackers to "force the device into layer 2 fallback (L2FB)", causing a denial of service (page fault), via a malformed packet. |
| Netgear FM114P firmware 1.3 wireless firewall, when configured to backup configuration information, stores DDNS (DynDNS) user name and password, MAC address filtering table and possibly other information in cleartext, which could allow local users to obtain sensitive information. |
| NETGEAR WGT624 Wireless DSL router has a default account of super_username "Gearguy" and super_passwd "Geardog", which allows remote attackers to modify the configuration. NOTE: followup posts have suggested that this might not occur with all WGT624 routers. |
| The pswd.js script relies on the client to calculate whether a username and password match hard-coded hashed values for a server, and uses a hashing scheme that creates a large number of collisions, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct offline brute force attacks. NOTE: this script might also allow attackers to generate the server-side "secret" URL without determining the original password, but this possibility was not discussed by the original researcher. |
| Beward Intercom 2.3.1 contains a credentials disclosure vulnerability that allows local attackers to access plain-text authentication credentials stored in an unencrypted database file. Attackers can read the BEWARD.INTERCOM.FDB file to extract usernames and passwords, enabling unauthorized access to IP cameras and door stations. |
| Minecraft RCON Terminal is a VS Code extension that streamlines Minecraft server management. Versions 0.1.0 through 2.0.6 stores passwords using VS Code's configuration API which writes to settings.json in plaintext. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.0. |
| NetSupport ManagerĀ < 14.12.0001 relies on a shared Gateway Key for authentication between Manager/Control, Client, and Connectivity Server components. The key is stored using a reversible encoding scheme. An attacker who obtains access to a deployed client configuration file can decode the stored value to recover the plaintext Gateway Key. Possession of the Gateway Key allows unauthorized access to NetSupport Manager connectivity services and enables remote control of systems managed through the same key. |
| HCL Workload Scheduler stores user credentials in plain text which can be read by a local user. |
|
In AutomationDirect C-MORE EA9 HMI,
credentials used by the platform are stored as plain text on the device.
|
| An attacker could decrypt sensitive data, impersonate legitimate users
or devices, and potentially gain access to network resources for lateral
attacks. |
| A vulnerability has been found in E-Lins H685, H685f, H700, H720, H750, H820, H820Q, H820Q0 and H900 up to 3.2 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the component OEM Backend. The manipulation leads to hard-coded credentials. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. It is recommended to change the configuration settings. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A flaw was found in how Quay's database is stored in plain-text in mirror-registry on the jinja's config.yaml file. This flaw allows a malicious actor with access to this file to gain access to Quay's database. |
| A vulnerability exists in the SOAP Web services of the Asset
Suite versions listed below. If successfully exploited, an attacker
could gain unauthorized access to the product and the time window of a possible password attack could be expanded. |
| On IROAD v9 devices, the dashcam has hardcoded default credentials ("qwertyuiop") that cannot be changed by the user. This allows an attacker within Wi-Fi range to connect to the device's network to perform sniffing. |
| Unchecked return value in SDM firmware for Intel(R) Stratix 10 and Intel(R) Agilex 7 FPGAs before version 23.3 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via adjacent access. |
| In BootROM, there is a possible missing validation for Certificate Type 0. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. |
| Hardcoded credentials in TerraMaster TOS firmware through 5.1 allow a remote attacker to successfully login to the mail or webmail server. These credentials can also be used to login to the administration panel and to perform privileged actions. |
| A vulnerability was found in BlackVue App 3.65 on Android and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component API Endpoint Handler. The manipulation of the argument BCS_TOKEN/SECRET_KEY leads to unprotected storage of credentials. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
