CVSS v3.1 |
| An improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiAnalyzer 7.4.0 through 7.4.10, FortiAnalyzer 7.2 all versions, FortiAnalyzer 7.0 all versions, FortiAnalyzer 6.4 all versions, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.6.2, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.4.1 through 7.4.7, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.2.1 through 7.2.10, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.0.1 through 7.0.14, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 6.4 all versions, FortiManager 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiManager 7.4.0 through 7.4.10, FortiManager 7.2 all versions, FortiManager 7.0 all versions, FortiManager 6.4 all versions, FortiManager Cloud 7.6.2 through 7.6.3, FortiManager Cloud 7.4.1 through 7.4.7, FortiManager Cloud 7.2.1 through 7.2.10, FortiManager Cloud 7.0.1 through 7.0.14, FortiManager Cloud 6.4 all versions may allow an attacker to bypass bruteforce protections via exploitation of race conditions. The latter raises the complexity of practical exploitation. |
| PDF Reader MCP is a Model Context Protocol server for reading PDF documents. In versions 2.2.0 and later prior to 3.0.1, when `MCP_TRANSPORT=http` enables the opt-in HTTP server, `@sylphx/pdf-reader-mcp` reads `MCP_API_KEY` and logs that `X-API-Key` authentication is enabled but never validates the `X-API-Key` header on incoming requests. The `/mcp` endpoint consequently accepts unauthenticated clients. With the default bind address of `0.0.0.0`, any client able to reach the port can invoke every PDF tool and read any PDF the server process can open on the host, despite the misleading authentication-enabled startup log. URL-based sources additionally permit limited server-side request forgery; private and loopback destinations are blocked by default unless `--allow-private-ips` is set. The default `stdio` transport is unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.1. |
| A flaw was found in the token exchange mechanism of Keycloak. When using Standard Token Exchange V2, the system issues new tokens with a fresh lifetime based on the requester clients configuration instead of limiting it to the original tokens expiration. This issue allows an authenticated requester to indefinitely extend access for service accounts by repeatedly exchanging tokens, even if the original client has been disabled by an administrator. |
| A flaw was found in the keycloak-services component of Keycloak. This issue is an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-9798, where brute-force protection checks were added to the Client-Initiated Backchannel Authentication (CIBA) initiation handler but were omitted from the token redemption handler. This allows an attacker with valid client credentials to obtain access and refresh tokens for a user account that has been locked due to brute-force protection, provided the authentication request was started before the lockout occurred and was approved by the user. |

| A flaw was found in the Organization identity-first login flow of the Keycloak authentication server. Keycloak is an open-source identity and access management solution used to secure modern applications and services. The issue occurs when an attacker who belongs to multiple organizations initiates a login and then switches to a registration or password reset path. During this process, a flag indicating a successful login is not properly cleared when the user is removed from the session. An attacker can then provide a victim's username, and the system incorrectly treats the stale flag as proof of the victim's identity. This allows the attacker to bypass authentication and gain full access to the victim's account and connected applications. |
| EdgeChat before 2.20.3 contains a missing authentication vulnerability in the GET /files/:key route that allows unauthenticated or banned users to download decrypted public-channel attachments because canAccessFile() accepts a null user id. Attackers holding an attachment object key can omit or supply an invalid token to retrieve plaintext attachments without a session or channel membership. |
| noname Electron desktop build v1.11.2 through v1.11.6.1 contains an unauthenticated local file server with wildcard CORS that allows malicious websites to read, overwrite, or delete installation files. Attackers can send cross-origin requests to /writeFile on localhost port 8089 to overwrite renderer scripts, executing JavaScript with Node.js access as the local user. |
| The Rapid7 Metasploit msf-ws suffers from a missing authentication vulnerability whereby the REST API grants an unauthenticated "bootstrap" exemption so that the very first administrator can be created when the users table is empty. While the table is empty, POST /api/v1/users is exempt from authentication by design: the route handler calls warden.authenticate!(scope: :admin_api), which resolves to AdminApiToken. The inherited ApiToken#authenticate! short-circuits and returns success!() whenever msf.auth_initialized is false, without ever evaluating AdminApiToken's administrator check. In that state the endpoint creates a user — including an administrator — for an entirely unauthenticated caller.
This issue has been fixed in version 6.5.9. |
| In server mode pgAdmin 4 locks an internal account after MAX_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS failed logins (3 by default). The limit could be bypassed, giving an unauthenticated attacker an unlimited number of password guesses against any internal account, including the administrator's, in the default configuration:
- Flask-Security registers its own views next to pgAdmin's. A login submitted to its /login view was checked and logged in without pgAdmin's failed login count or lock. Its /verify view checked a signed-in user's password without limit, its /change view changed a password without pgAdmin's change password permission or re-encrypting the user's saved server passwords, and its /reset views sent and applied password resets for accounts that are not internal or are locked.
- The internal account was looked up by its exact username, while the login form matches the email ignoring case, so a login with the username typed in another case was neither counted nor checked for the lock.
- With LDAP or webserver authentication also configured, a wrong internal password was never counted, and with Kerberos or webserver authentication configured a guess could be answered without being counted.
In addition, where accounts from different authentication sources share an email address, a password reset could be sent for, or applied to, an account from another source, and the About box showed the server configuration to a user whose email was that of an administrator's account.
The fix refuses submissions to Flask-Security's own views, counts every failed internal login however the username is typed and whatever other sources are configured, no longer lets a login that posts a password fall back to an authentication source that does not check it, and locks only internal authentication. Password resets and the About box act only on the user's own internal account. Desktop mode is not affected.
This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19. |

| HCL AION is affected by a vulnerability where the account lockout mechanism did not sufficiently restrict repeated failed login attempts, allowing an attacker to make a large number of password guesses against a user account. This may increase the risk of account compromise through brute-force attacks, potentially resulting in unintended behavior or security impact under certain conditions. |
| Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts vulnerability in Drupal Shield allows Brute Force. This issue affects Shield versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.9.0. |
| sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6p2 on Linux, when musl libc is used without PAM, lacks a workaround for a password authentication bypass (related to misinterpretation of whether a string is intended to be a password hash). For some configurations of accounts, any password between 256 and 1024 characters succeeds. An example of a platform using musl libc without PAM is Alpine Linux. |
| OAuthLib is an implementation of the OAuth request-signing logic for Python 3.6+. From 3.3.0 until 4.0.1, OAuthLib's RFC 8628 device workflow does not require DeviceCodeGrant.validate_token_request to check that the device_code parameter is present and valid. A caller whose client request is accepted by the configured validator and who knows a valid client ID enabled for the device workflow can submit a missing or bogus device code to the token endpoint and obtain a bearer token without completing device authorization. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.1. |
