CVSS v3.1 |
When Antiy Antivirus Engine before 5.0.0.05171547 scans a special ZIP archive, it crashes with a stack-based buffer overflow because a fixed path length is used.
libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote.
A double-free vulnerability in parse.c in ldns 1.7.0 have unspecified impact and attack vectors.
picoTCP (versions 1.7.0 - 1.5.0) is vulnerable to stack buffer overflow resulting in code execution or denial of service attack
In SWFTools, a memcpy buffer overflow was found in swfc.
Microsoft browsers in Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allow an allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user when the JavaScript engines fail to render when handling objects in memory in Microsoft browsers, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8517 and CVE-2017-8524.
Microsoft PowerPoint for Mac 2011 allows a remote code execution vulnerability when the software fails to properly handle objects in memory, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-0254 and CVE-2017-0264.
Microsoft PowerPoint for Mac 2011 allows a remote code execution vulnerability when the software fails to properly handle objects in memory, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-0254 and CVE-2017-0265.
A remote code execution vulnerability in the Android media framework (libhevc). Product: Android. Versions: 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1, 7.1.2. Android ID: A-36492741.
Touchscreen driver in Huawei P9 phones with software versions before EVA-AL10C00B192 and Huawei Honor 6 phones with software versions before H60-L02_6.10.1 has a heap overflow vulnerability, which allows attackers to crash the system or escalate user privilege.
The ReadPCXImage function in coders/pcx.c in GraphicsMagick 1.3.25 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted image, which triggers a memory allocation failure and a "file truncation error for corrupt file."
Heap-based buffer overflow in Google Chrome before M40 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (unpaged memory write and process crash) via a crafted MP4 file.
Possible buffer overflow in the hypervisor. Inappropriate usage of a static array could lead to a buffer overrun. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel 3.18. Android ID: A-31625904. References: QC-CR#1027769.
Possible buffer overflow in trust zone access control API. Buffer overflow may occur due to lack of buffer size checking. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel 3.18. Android ID: A-31625204. References: QC-CR#1027804.
An issue was discovered in Fatek Automation PLC WinProladder Version 3.11 Build 14701. A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists when the software application connects to a malicious server, resulting in a stack buffer overflow. This causes an exploitable Structured Exception Handler (SEH) overwrite condition that may allow remote code execution.
Microsoft Word 2007, Office 2010 SP2, Word 2010 SP2, Office Compatibility Pack SP3, Office for Mac 2011, Office for Mac 2016, Microsoft Office Web Apps 2010 SP2, Office Web Apps Server 2013 SP1, Word 2013 RT SP1, Word 2013 SP1, Word Automation Services on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 SP1, Office Word Viewer, SharePoint Enterprise Server 2016, and Word 2016 allow a remote code execution vulnerability when the software fails to properly handle objects in memory, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-0264 and CVE-2017-0265.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft Chakra Core in the way JavaScript engines render when handling objects in memory. aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This vulnerability is unique from CVE-2017-0223.
An error within the "parse_tiff_ifd()" function (internal/dcraw_common.cpp) in LibRaw versions before 0.18.2 can be exploited to corrupt memory.
A boundary error within the "parse_tiff_ifd()" function (internal/dcraw_common.cpp) in LibRaw versions before 0.18.2 can be exploited to cause a memory corruption via e.g. a specially crafted KDC file with model set to "DSLR-A100" and containing multiple sequences of 0x100 and 0x14A TAGs.
