CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange Version 2 (IKEv2) module of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to improper parsing of IKEv2 packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a continuous stream of crafted IKEv2 packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to partially exhaust system memory, causing system instability like being unable to establish new IKEv2 VPN sessions. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in TechPowerUp GPU-Z 2.23.0. Affected is the function sub_140001880 in the library GPU-Z.sys of the component 0x8000645C IOCTL Handler. The manipulation leads to memory leak. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange Version 2 (IKEv2) feature of Cisco IOS Software, IOS XE Software, Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, and Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to a lack of proper processing of IKEv2 packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted IKEv2 packets to an affected device. In the case of Cisco IOS and IOS XE Software, a successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly. In the case of Cisco ASA and FTD Software, a successful exploit could allow the attacker to partially exhaust system memory, causing system instability such as being unable to establish new IKEv2 VPN sessions. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition. |
| Multiple denial-of-service vulnerabilities exist in the affected product. These issues can be triggered through various crafted inputs, including malformed Class 3 messages, memory leak conditions, and other resource exhaustion scenarios. Exploitation may cause the device to become unresponsive and, in some cases, result in a major nonrecoverable fault. Recovery may require a restart. |
| LTI JupyterHub Authenticator is a JupyterHub authenticator for LTI. Prior to version 1.6.3, the LTI 1.1 validator stores OAuth nonces in a class-level dictionary that grows without bounds. Nonces are added before signature validation, so an attacker with knowledge of a valid consumer key can send repeated requests with unique nonces to gradually exhaust server memory, causing a denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 1.6.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring: fix fget leak when fs don't support nowait buffered read
Heming reported a BUG when using io_uring doing link-cp on ocfs2. [1]
Do the following steps can reproduce this BUG:
mount -t ocfs2 /dev/vdc /mnt/ocfs2
cp testfile /mnt/ocfs2/
./link-cp /mnt/ocfs2/testfile /mnt/ocfs2/testfile.1
umount /mnt/ocfs2
Then umount will fail, and it outputs:
umount: /mnt/ocfs2: target is busy.
While tracing umount, it blames mnt_get_count() not return as expected.
Do a deep investigation for fget()/fput() on related code flow, I've
finally found that fget() leaks since ocfs2 doesn't support nowait
buffered read.

This was introduced by commit a196c78b5443 in v5.18. Fix it by don't
re-assign req->file if it has already been assigned.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
clk: mediatek: fix of_iomap memory leak
Smatch reports:
drivers/clk/mediatek/clk-mtk.c:583 mtk_clk_simple_probe() warn:
'base' from of_iomap() not released on lines: 496.
This problem was also found in linux-next. In mtk_clk_simple_probe(),
base is not released when handling errors
if clk_data is not existed, which may cause a leak.
So free_base should be added here to release base. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/xattr: missing fdput() in fremovexattr error path
In the Linux kernel, the fremovexattr() syscall calls fdget() to acquire a
file reference but returns early without calling fdput() when
strncpy_from_user() fails on the name argument. In multi-threaded processes
where fdget() takes the slow path, this permanently leaks one
file reference per call, pinning the struct file and associated kernel
objects in memory. An unprivileged local user can exploit this to cause
kernel memory exhaustion. The issue was inadvertently fixed by commit
a71874379ec8 ("xattr: switch to CLASS(fd)"). |
| A memory leak exists in the Grassroots DICOM library (GDCM). The bug occurs when parsing malformed DICOM files with non-standard VR types in file meta information. The vulnerability leads to vast memory allocations and resource depletion, triggering a denial-of-service condition. A maliciously crafted file can fill the heap in a single read operation without properly releasing it. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: stm32: sai: fix OF node leak on probe
The reference taken to the sync provider OF node when probing the
platform device is currently only dropped if the set_sync() callback
fails during DAI probe.
Make sure to drop the reference on platform probe failures (e.g. probe
deferral) and on driver unbind.
This also avoids a potential use-after-free in case the DAI is ever
reprobed without first rebinding the platform driver. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dmaengine: sh: rz-dmac: fix device leak on probe failure
Make sure to drop the reference taken when looking up the ICU device
during probe also on probe failures (e.g. probe deferral). |
| UltraJSON is a fast JSON encoder and decoder written in pure C with bindings for Python 3.7+. Versions 5.4.0 through 5.11.0 contain an accumulating memory leak in JSON parsing large (outside of the range [-2^63, 2^64 - 1]) integers. The leaked memory is a copy of the string form of the integer plus an additional NULL byte. The leak occurs irrespective of whether the integer parses successfully or is rejected due to having more than sys.get_int_max_str_digits() digits, meaning that any sized leak per malicious JSON can be achieved provided that there is no limit on the overall size of the payload. Any service that calls ujson.load()/ujson.loads()/ujson.decode() on untrusted inputs is affected and vulnerable to denial of service attacks. This issue has been fixed in version 5.12.0. |
| OpenWrt Project is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. In versions prior to both 24.10.6 and 25.12.1, the jp_get_token function, which performs lexical analysis by breaking input expressions into tokens, contains a memory leak vulnerability when extracting string literals, field labels, and regular expressions using dynamic memory allocation. These extracted results are stored in a jp_opcode struct, which is later copied to a newly allocated jp_opcode object via jp_alloc_op. During this transfer, if a string was previously extracted and stored in the initial jp_opcode, it is copied to the new allocation but the original memory is never freed, resulting in a memory leak. This issue has been fixed in versions 24.10.6 and 25.12.1. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gpio: mvebu: fix irq domain leak
Uwe Kleine-König pointed out we still have one resource leak in the mvebu
driver triggered on driver detach. Let's address it with a custom devm
action. |

The root cause is the same as commit 436901649731 ("bpf: cpumap: Fix memory
leak in cpu_map_update_elem"). The kthread is stopped prematurely by
kthread_stop() in cpu_map_kthread_stop(), and kthread() doesn't call
cpu_map_kthread_run() at all but XDP program has already queued some
frames or skbs into ptr_ring. So when __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() checks
the ptr_ring, it will find it was not emptied and report a warning.
An alternative fix is to use __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() to drop these
pending frames or skbs when kthread_stop() returns -EINTR, but it may
confuse the user, because these frames or skbs have been handled
correctly by XDP program. So instead of dropping these frames or skbs,
just make sure the per-cpu kthread is running before
__cpu_map_entry_alloc() returns.
After apply the fix, the error handle for kthread_stop() will be
unnecessary because it will always return 0, so just remove it. |
