CVSS v3.1 |
| There are multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities in V-SFT (v6.2.2.0 and earlier), TELLUS (v4.0.19.0 and earlier), and TELLUS Lite (v4.0.19.0 and earlier).
If a user opens a specially crafted file, information may be disclosed and/or arbitrary code may be executed. |
| A buffer overflow with Xilinx Run Time Environment may allow a local attacker to read or corrupt data from the advanced extensible interface (AXI), potentially resulting in loss of confidentiality, integrity, and/or availability. |
| BlazeVideo HDTV Player Pro v6.6.0.3 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow due to improper handling of user-supplied input embedded in .plf playlist files. When parsing a crafted .plf file, the MediaPlayerCtrl.dll component invokes PathFindFileNameA() to extract a filename from a URL-like string. The returned value is then copied to a fixed-size stack buffer using an inline strcpy call without bounds checking. If the input exceeds the buffer size, this leads to a stack overflow and potential arbitrary code execution under the context of the user. |
| 10-Strike Network Inventory Explorer 9.03 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the file import functionality that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Attackers can craft a malicious text file with carefully constructed payload to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and bypass data execution prevention through a ROP chain. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in JT Open (All versions < V11.5), JT2Go (All versions < V2406.0003), PLM XML SDK (All versions < V7.1.0.014), Teamcenter Visualization V14.2 (All versions < V14.2.0.13), Teamcenter Visualization V14.3 (All versions < V14.3.0.11), Teamcenter Visualization V2312 (All versions < V2312.0008), Teamcenter Visualization V2406 (All versions < V2406.0003). The affected applications contain a stack based overflow vulnerability while parsing specially crafted XML files. This could allow an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process. |
| In certain Sonos products before S1 Release 11.12 and S2 release 15.9, the mt_7615.ko wireless driver does not properly validate an information element during negotiation of a WPA2 four-way handshake. This lack of validation leads to a stack buffer overflow. This can result in remote code execution within the kernel. This affects Amp, Arc, Arc SL, Beam, Beam Gen 2, Beam SL, and Five. |
| B64dec 1.1.2 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by overwriting Structured Exception Handler (SEH) with crafted input. Attackers can leverage an egg hunter technique and carefully constructed payload to inject and execute malicious code during base64 decoding process. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Linksys WRT1900ACS, EA7200, EA7450 and EA7500 up to 20250619 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function SetDefaultConnectionService of the file /upnp/control/Layer3Forwarding of the component IGD. The manipulation of the argument NewDefaultConnectionService leads to stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Effectmatrix Total Video Converter Command Line (TVCC) 2.50 when an overly long string is passed to the "-f" parameter. This can lead to memory corruption, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution or causing a denial of service via specially crafted input. |
| Ayukov NFTP client 1.71 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the SYST command handling that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Attackers can send a specially crafted SYST command with oversized payload to trigger a buffer overflow and execute a bind shell on port 5150. |
| ChaosPro 2.0 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the configuration file path handling that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by overwriting the Structured Exception Handler. Attackers can craft a malicious configuration file with carefully constructed payload to overwrite memory and gain remote code execution on vulnerable Windows XP systems. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in ActFax Server version 5.01. The server's RAW protocol interface fails to safely process user-supplied data in @F506 fax header fields due to insecure usage of strcpy. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted @F506 fields, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation requires network access to TCP port 4559 and does not require authentication. |
| Sony XAV-AX5500 WMV/ASF Parsing Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Sony XAV-AX5500 devices. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of WMV/ASF files. A crafted Extended Content Description Object in a WMV media file can trigger an overflow of a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the device.
. Was ZDI-CAN-22994. |
| PCSX2 is a free and open-source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator. A stack-based buffer overflow exists in the Kprintf_HLE function of PCSX2 versions up to 2.3.414. Opening a disc image that logs a specially crafted message may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code if the user enabled IOP Console Logging. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.414. |
| A potential buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in some Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkStation products that could allow a local attacker with elevated privileges to execute arbitrary code. |
| Talkative IRC v0.4.4.16 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing specially crafted response strings sent to a connected client. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending an overly long message that overflows a fixed-length buffer, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution in the context of the vulnerable process. This vulnerability is exploitable remotely and does not require authentication. |
| An authenticated attacker can trigger a stack based buffer overflow in the DHIP Service (TCP port 80). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111. |
| Odin Secure FTP <= 4.1 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when parsing directory listings received in response to an FTP LIST command. A malicious FTP server can send an overly long filename in the directory listing, which overflows a fixed-size stack buffer in the client and overwrites the Structured Exception Handler (SEH). This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the client system. |
| Control Center PRO 6.2.9 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the user creation module's username field that allows attackers to overwrite Structured Exception Handler (SEH). Attackers can craft a malicious payload exceeding 664 bytes to inject shellcode and potentially execute arbitrary code on vulnerable Windows systems. |
| AOL versions up to and including 9.5 includes an ActiveX control (Phobos.dll) that exposes a method called Import() via the Phobos.Playlist COM object. This method is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when provided with an excessively long string argument. Exploitation allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the user, but only when the malicious HTML file is opened locally, due to the control not being marked safe for scripting or initialization. AOL remains an active and supported brand offering services like AOL Mail and AOL Desktop Gold, but the legacy AOL 9.5 desktop software—specifically the version containing the vulnerable Phobos.dll ActiveX control—is long discontinued and no longer maintained. |
