CVSS v3.1 |
The walk_hugetlb_range function in mm/pagewalk.c in the Linux kernel before 4.14.2 mishandles holes in hugetlb ranges, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information from uninitialized kernel memory via crafted use of the mincore() system call.
Citrix Provisioning Services before 7.12 allows attackers to obtain sensitive kernel address information via unspecified vectors.
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the recovery verifier could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as Critical due to the possibility of a local permanent device compromise, which may require reflashing the operating system to repair the device. Product: Android. Versions: 4.4.4, 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1. Android ID: A-31914369.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.2.1 is affected. The issue involves the "WebKit" component, which allows remote attackers to launch popups via a crafted web site.
ChakraCore allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to how the ChakraCore scripting engine handles objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Information Disclosure Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-11792, CVE-2017-11793, CVE-2017-11796, CVE-2017-11797, CVE-2017-11798, CVE-2017-11799, CVE-2017-11800, CVE-2017-11802, CVE-2017-11804, CVE-2017-11805, CVE-2017-11806, CVE-2017-11807, CVE-2017-11808, CVE-2017-11809, CVE-2017-11810, CVE-2017-11811, CVE-2017-11812, and CVE-2017-11821.
The bmp_getdata function in libjasper/bmp/bmp_dec.c in JasPer before 1.900.9 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) by calling the imginfo command with a crafted BMP image.
The bmp_getdata function in libjasper/bmp/bmp_dec.c in JasPer 1.900.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) by calling the imginfo command with a crafted BMP image. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-8690.
The jpc_dec_process_siz function in libjasper/jpc/jpc_dec.c in JasPer before 1.900.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted XRsiz value in a BMP image to the imginfo command.
The bmp_getdata function in libjasper/bmp/bmp_dec.c in JasPer before 1.900.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted BMP image in an imginfo command.
In IKARUS anti.virus before 2.16.18, the ntguard.sys driver contains an Arbitrary Write vulnerability because of not validating input values from IOCtl 0x830000cc.
Moodle 3.x has user fullname disclosure on the user preferences page.
Piwigo through 2.9.1 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information about the descriptive name of a permalink by examining the redirect URL that is returned in a request for the permalink ID number of a private album. The permalink ID numbers are easily guessed.
The TVer App for Android 3.2.7 and earlier does not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 8.3.1.21155. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of Image filters. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-5079.
Windows kernel in Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 8.1 and RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to run a specially crafted application and obtain information to further compromise the user's system due to the Windows kernel improperly initializing objects in memory, aka "Windows Information Disclosure Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-11831.
In libquicktime 1.2.4, an allocation failure was found in the function quicktime_read_ftyp in ftyp.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file.
IBM Business Process Manager 7.5, 8.0, and 8.5 has a file download capability that is vulnerable to a set of attacks. Ultimately, an attacker can cause an unauthenticated victim to download a malicious payload. An existing file type restriction can be bypassed so that the payload might be considered executable and cause damage on the victim's machine. IBM Reference #: 1998655.
A vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco NX-OS System Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to read the contents of arbitrary files. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation for a specific CLI command. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing a crafted command on the CLI. An exploit could allow the attacker unauthorized access to read arbitrary files on the underlying local file system. On products that support multiple virtual device contexts (VDCs), this vulnerability could allow an attacker to read files from any VDC. This vulnerability affects the following products running Cisco NX-OS System Software: Multilayer Director Switches, Nexus 2000 Series Fabric Extenders, Nexus 3000 Series Switches, Nexus 5000 Series Switches, Nexus 5500 Platform Switches, Nexus 5600 Platform Switches, Nexus 6000 Series Switches, Nexus 7000 Series Switches, Nexus 7700 Series Switches, Nexus 9000 Series Fabric Switches in Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) mode, Nexus 9000 Series Switches in standalone NX-OS mode, Nexus 9500 R-Series Line Cards and Fabric Modules, Unified Computing System Manager. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCve51707, CSCve93961, CSCve93964, CSCve93965, CSCve93968, CSCve93974, CSCve93976.
GNOME Nautilus before 3.23.90 allows attackers to spoof a file type by using the .desktop file extension, as demonstrated by an attack in which a .desktop file's Name field ends in .pdf but this file's Exec field launches a malicious "sh -c" command. In other words, Nautilus provides no UI indication that a file actually has the potentially unsafe .desktop extension; instead, the UI only shows the .pdf extension. One (slightly) mitigating factor is that an attack requires the .desktop file to have execute permission. The solution is to ask the user to confirm that the file is supposed to be treated as a .desktop file, and then remember the user's answer in the metadata::trusted field.
IBM BigFix Inventory v9 stores potentially sensitive information in log files that could be read by a local user.
