| CVE-2002-0802 | 2 Postgresql, Redhat | 2 Postgresql, Database | 2026-04-16 | N/A |
| The multibyte support in PostgreSQL 6.5.x with SQL_ASCII encoding consumes an extra character when processing a character that cannot be converted, which could remove an escape character from the query and make the application subject to SQL injection attacks. | ||||
| CVE-2006-2314 | 2 Postgresql, Redhat | 2 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux | 2026-04-16 | N/A |
| PostgreSQL 8.1.x before 8.1.4, 8.0.x before 8.0.8, 7.4.x before 7.4.13, 7.3.x before 7.3.15, and earlier versions allows context-dependent attackers to bypass SQL injection protection methods in applications that use multibyte encodings that allow the "\" (backslash) byte 0x5c to be the trailing byte of a multibyte character, such as SJIS, BIG5, GBK, GB18030, and UHC, which cannot be handled correctly by a client that does not understand multibyte encodings, aka a second variant of "Encoding-Based SQL Injection." NOTE: it could be argued that this is a class of issue related to interaction errors between the client and PostgreSQL, but a CVE has been assigned since PostgreSQL is treating this as a preventative measure against this class of problem. | ||||
| CVE-2002-1399 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-16 | N/A |
| Unknown vulnerability in cash_out and possibly other functions in PostgreSQL 7.2.1 and earlier, and possibly later versions before 7.2.3, with unknown impact, based on an invalid integer input which is processed as a different data type, as demonstrated using cash_out(2). | ||||
| CVE-2004-0547 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-16 | N/A |
| Buffer overflow in the ODBC driver for PostgreSQL before 7.2.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash). | ||||
| CVE-2025-4207 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 5.9 Medium |
| Buffer over-read in PostgreSQL GB18030 encoding validation allows a database input provider to achieve temporary denial of service on platforms where a 1-byte over-read can elicit process termination. This affects the database server and also libpq. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.5, 16.9, 15.13, 14.18, and 13.21 are affected. | ||||
| CVE-2025-8713 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 3.1 Low |
| PostgreSQL optimizer statistics allow a user to read sampled data within a view that the user cannot access. Separately, statistics allow a user to read sampled data that a row security policy intended to hide. PostgreSQL maintains statistics for tables by sampling data available in columns; this data is consulted during the query planning process. Prior to this release, a user could craft a leaky operator that bypassed view access control lists (ACLs) and bypassed row security policies in partitioning or table inheritance hierarchies. Reachable statistics data notably included histograms and most-common-values lists. CVE-2017-7484 and CVE-2019-10130 intended to close this class of vulnerability, but this gap remained. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected. | ||||
| CVE-2025-8714 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 8.8 High |
| Untrusted data inclusion in pg_dump in PostgreSQL allows a malicious superuser of the origin server to inject arbitrary code for restore-time execution as the client operating system account running psql to restore the dump, via psql meta-commands. pg_dumpall is also affected. pg_restore is affected when used to generate a plain-format dump. This is similar to MySQL CVE-2024-21096. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected. | ||||
| CVE-2025-12818 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 5.9 Medium |
| Integer wraparound in multiple PostgreSQL libpq client library functions allows an application input provider or network peer to cause libpq to undersize an allocation and write out-of-bounds by hundreds of megabytes. This results in a segmentation fault for the application using libpq. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.1, 17.7, 16.11, 15.15, 14.20, and 13.23 are affected. | ||||
| CVE-2025-12817 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 3.1 Low |
| Missing authorization in PostgreSQL CREATE STATISTICS command allows a table owner to achieve denial of service against other CREATE STATISTICS users by creating in any schema. A later CREATE STATISTICS for the same name, from a user having the CREATE privilege, would then fail. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.1, 17.7, 16.11, 15.15, 14.20, and 13.23 are affected. | ||||
| CVE-2025-8715 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-04-15 | 8.8 High |
| Improper neutralization of newlines in pg_dump in PostgreSQL allows a user of the origin server to inject arbitrary code for restore-time execution as the client operating system account running psql to restore the dump, via psql meta-commands inside a purpose-crafted object name. The same attacks can achieve SQL injection as a superuser of the restore target server. pg_dumpall, pg_restore, and pg_upgrade are also affected. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22 are affected. Versions before 11.20 are unaffected. CVE-2012-0868 had fixed this class of problem, but version 11.20 reintroduced it. | ||||
| CVE-2023-39418 | 3 Debian, Postgresql, Redhat | 5 Debian Linux, Postgresql, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2025-11-21 | 3.1 Low |
| A vulnerability was found in PostgreSQL with the use of the MERGE command, which fails to test new rows against row security policies defined for UPDATE and SELECT. If UPDATE and SELECT policies forbid some rows that INSERT policies do not forbid, a user could store such rows. | ||||
| CVE-2024-1597 | 4 Fedoraproject, Pgjdbc, Postgresql and 1 more | 14 Fedora, Pgjdbc, Postgresql Jdbc Driver and 11 more | 2025-11-03 | 10 Critical |
| pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, allows attacker to inject SQL if using PreferQueryMode=SIMPLE. Note this is not the default. In the default mode there is no vulnerability. A placeholder for a numeric value must be immediately preceded by a minus. There must be a second placeholder for a string value after the first placeholder; both must be on the same line. By constructing a matching string payload, the attacker can inject SQL to alter the query, bypassing the protections that parameterized queries bring against SQL Injection attacks. Versions before 42.7.2, 42.6.1, 42.5.5, 42.4.4, 42.3.9, and 42.2.28 are affected. | ||||
