WARN_ON(!RB_EMPTY_ROOT( &transaction->delayed_refs.dirty_extent_root)); (...) } The warning happens because btrfs_qgroup_destroy_extent_records(), called in the transaction abort path, we free all entries from the rbtree "dirty_extent_root" with rbtree_postorder_for_each_entry_safe(), but we don't actually empty the rbtree - it's still pointing to nodes that were freed. So set the rbtree's root node to NULL to avoid this warning (assign RB_ROOT).
CVE-2016-20022 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 8.4 High

CVE-2025-40224 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (cgbc-hwmon) Add missing NULL check after devm_kzalloc() The driver allocates memory for sensor data using devm_kzalloc(), but did not check if the allocation succeeded. In case of memory allocation failure, dereferencing the NULL pointer would lead to a kernel crash. Add a NULL pointer check and return -ENOMEM to handle allocation failure properly.

Commit cf1b2326b734 ("nbd: verify socket is supported during setup") made sure the socket supported a shutdown() method. Explicitely accept TCP and UNIX stream sockets.
CVE-2022-50706 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ieee802154: don't warn zero-sized raw_sendmsg() syzbot is hitting skb_assert_len() warning at __dev_queue_xmit() [1], for PF_IEEE802154 socket's zero-sized raw_sendmsg() request is hitting __dev_queue_xmit() with skb->len == 0. Since PF_IEEE802154 socket's zero-sized raw_sendmsg() request was able to return 0, don't call __dev_queue_xmit() if packet length is 0. ---------- #include <sys/socket.h> #include <netinet/in.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { struct sockaddr_in addr = { .sin_family = AF_INET, .sin_addr.s_addr = htonl(INADDR_LOOPBACK) }; struct iovec iov = { }; struct msghdr hdr = { .msg_name = &addr, .msg_namelen = sizeof(addr), .msg_iov = &iov, .msg_iovlen = 1 }; sendmsg(socket(PF_IEEE802154, SOCK_RAW, 0), &hdr, 0); return 0; } ---------- Note that this might be a sign that commit fd1894224407c484 ("bpf: Don't redirect packets with invalid pkt_len") should be reverted, for skb->len == 0 was acceptable for at least PF_IEEE802154 socket.
CVE-2025-40222 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: sh-sci: fix RSCI FIFO overrun handling The receive error handling code is shared between RSCI and all other SCIF port types, but the RSCI overrun_reg is specified as a memory offset, while for other SCIF types it is an enum value used to index into the sci_port_params->regs array, as mentioned above the sci_serial_in() function. For RSCI, the overrun_reg is CSR (0x48), causing the sci_getreg() call inside the sci_handle_fifo_overrun() function to index outside the bounds of the regs array, which currently has a size of 20, as specified by SCI_NR_REGS. Because of this, we end up accessing memory outside of RSCI's rsci_port_params structure, which, when interpreted as a plat_sci_reg, happens to have a non-zero size, causing the following WARN when sci_serial_in() is called, as the accidental size does not match the supported register sizes. The existence of the overrun_reg needs to be checked because SCIx_SH3_SCIF_REGTYPE has overrun_reg set to SCLSR, but SCLSR is not present in the regs array. Avoid calling sci_getreg() for port types which don't use standard register handling. Use the ops->read_reg() and ops->write_reg() functions to properly read and write registers for RSCI, and change the type of the status variable to accommodate the 32-bit CSR register. sci_getreg() and sci_serial_in() are also called with overrun_reg in the sci_mpxed_interrupt() interrupt handler, but that code path is not used for RSCI, as it does not have a muxed interrupt. ------------[ cut here ]------------ Invalid register access WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at drivers/tty/serial/sh-sci.c:522 sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac Modules linked in: renesas_usbhs at24 rzt2h_adc industrialio_adc sha256 cfg80211 bluetooth ecdh_generic ecc rfkill fuse drm backlight ipv6 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.17.0-rc1+ #30 PREEMPT Hardware name: Renesas RZ/T2H EVK Board based on r9a09g077m44 (DT) pstate: 604000c5 (nZCv daIF +PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac lr : sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac sp : ffff800080003e80 x29: ffff800080003e80 x28: ffff800082195b80 x27: 000000000000000d x26: ffff8000821956d0 x25: 0000000000000000 x24: ffff800082195b80 x23: ffff000180e0d800 x22: 0000000000000010 x21: 0000000000000000 x20: 0000000000000010 x19: ffff000180e72000 x18: 000000000000000a x17: ffff8002bcee7000 x16: ffff800080000000 x15: 0720072007200720 x14: 0720072007200720 x13: 0720072007200720 x12: 0720072007200720 x11: 0000000000000058 x10: 0000000000000018 x9 : ffff8000821a6a48 x8 : 0000000000057fa8 x7 : 0000000000000406 x6 : ffff8000821fea48 x5 : ffff00033ef88408 x4 : ffff8002bcee7000 x3 : ffff800082195b80 x2 : 0000000000000000 x1 : 0000000000000000 x0 : ffff800082195b80 Call trace: sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac (P) sci_handle_fifo_overrun.isra.0+0x70/0x134 sci_er_interrupt+0x50/0x39c __handle_irq_event_percpu+0x48/0x140 handle_irq_event+0x44/0xb0 handle_fasteoi_irq+0xf4/0x1a0 handle_irq_desc+0x34/0x58 generic_handle_domain_irq+0x1c/0x28 gic_handle_irq+0x4c/0x140 call_on_irq_stack+0x30/0x48 do_interrupt_handler+0x80/0x84 el1_interrupt+0x34/0x68 el1h_64_irq_handler+0x18/0x24 el1h_64_irq+0x6c/0x70 default_idle_call+0x28/0x58 (P) do_idle+0x1f8/0x250 cpu_startup_entry+0x34/0x3c rest_init+0xd8/0xe0 console_on_rootfs+0x0/0x6c __primary_switched+0x88/0x90 ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]---

The blk_queue_enter() from blkg_conf_prep() is used to protect against policy deactivation, which is already protected with blkcg_mutex, hence convert blk_queue_enter() to blkcg_mutex to fix this problem. Meanwhile, consider that blkcg_mutex is held after queue is freezed from policy deactivation, also convert blkg_alloc() to use GFP_NOIO.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix peer HE MCS assignment In ath11k_wmi_send_peer_assoc_cmd(), peer's transmit MCS is sent to firmware as receive MCS while peer's receive MCS sent as transmit MCS, which goes against firmwire's definition. While connecting to a misbehaved AP that advertises 0xffff (meaning not supported) for 160 MHz transmit MCS map, firmware crashes due to 0xffff is assigned to he_mcs->rx_mcs_set field. Ext Tag: HE Capabilities [...] Supported HE-MCS and NSS Set [...] Rx and Tx MCS Maps 160 MHz [...] Tx HE-MCS Map 160 MHz: 0xffff Swap the assignment to fix this issue. As the HE rate control mask is meant to limit our own transmit MCS, it needs to go via he_mcs->rx_mcs_set field. With the aforementioned swapping done, change is needed as well to apply it to the peer's receive MCS. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in active selection access What the IMGU driver did was that it first acquired the pointers to active and try V4L2 subdev state, and only then figured out which one to use. The problem with that approach and a later patch (see Fixes: tag) is that as sd_state argument to v4l2_subdev_get_try_crop() et al is NULL, there is now an attempt to dereference that. Fix this. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pps: fix warning in pps_register_cdev when register device fail Similar to previous commit 2a934fdb01db ("media: v4l2-dev: fix error handling in __video_register_device()"), the release hook should be set before device_register(). Otherwise, when device_register() return error and put_device() try to callback the release function, the below warning may happen. ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 4760 at drivers/base/core.c:2567 device_release+0x1bd/0x240 drivers/base/core.c:2567 Modules linked in: CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 4760 Comm: syz.4.914 Not tainted 6.17.0-rc3+ #1 NONE RIP: 0010:device_release+0x1bd/0x240 drivers/base/core.c:2567 Call Trace: <TASK> kobject_cleanup+0x136/0x410 lib/kobject.c:689 kobject_release lib/kobject.c:720 [inline] kref_put include/linux/kref.h:65 [inline] kobject_put+0xe9/0x130 lib/kobject.c:737 put_device+0x24/0x30 drivers/base/core.c:3797 pps_register_cdev+0x2da/0x370 drivers/pps/pps.c:402 pps_register_source+0x2f6/0x480 drivers/pps/kapi.c:108 pps_tty_open+0x190/0x310 drivers/pps/clients/pps-ldisc.c:57 tty_ldisc_open+0xa7/0x120 drivers/tty/tty_ldisc.c:432 tty_set_ldisc+0x333/0x780 drivers/tty/tty_ldisc.c:563 tiocsetd drivers/tty/tty_io.c:2429 [inline] tty_ioctl+0x5d1/0x1700 drivers/tty/tty_io.c:2728 vfs_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:51 [inline] __do_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:598 [inline] __se_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:584 [inline] __x64_sys_ioctl+0x194/0x210 fs/ioctl.c:584 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:63 [inline] do_syscall_64+0x5f/0x2a0 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e </TASK> Before commit c79a39dc8d06 ("pps: Fix a use-after-free"), pps_register_cdev() call device_create() to create pps->dev, which will init dev->release to device_create_release(). Now the comment is outdated, just remove it. Thanks for the reminder from Calvin Owens, 'kfree_pps' should be removed in pps_register_source() to avoid a double free in the failure case.
CVE-2022-50764 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6/sit: use DEV_STATS_INC() to avoid data-races syzbot/KCSAN reported that multiple cpus are updating dev->stats.tx_error concurrently. This is because sit tunnels are NETIF_F_LLTX, meaning their ndo_start_xmit() is not protected by a spinlock. While original KCSAN report was about tx path, rx path has the same issue.
CVE-2022-50707 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-crypto: fix memory leak in virtio_crypto_alg_skcipher_close_session() 'vc_ctrl_req' is alloced in virtio_crypto_alg_skcipher_close_session(), and should be freed in the invalid ctrl_status->status error handling case. Otherwise there is a memory leak.

The crash happens, because the unwinder tries to read from unaligned memory and as such triggers the unalignment trap handler which then leads to the spinlock recursion and finally to a deadlock. Fix it by checking the alignment before accessing the memory.
CVE-2025-40218 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/vaddr: do not repeat pte_offset_map_lock() until success DAMON's virtual address space operation set implementation (vaddr) calls pte_offset_map_lock() inside the page table walk callback function. This is for reading and writing page table accessed bits. If pte_offset_map_lock() fails, it retries by returning the page table walk callback function with ACTION_AGAIN. pte_offset_map_lock() can continuously fail if the target is a pmd migration entry, though. Hence it could cause an infinite page table walk if the migration cannot be done until the page table walk is finished. This indeed caused a soft lockup when CPU hotplugging and DAMON were running in parallel. Avoid the infinite loop by simply not retrying the page table walk. DAMON is promising only a best-effort accuracy, so missing access to such pages is no problem.
