CVSS v3.1 |
A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass.
A flaw was found in libxml2's xmlBuildQName function, where integer overflows in buffer size calculations can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. This issue can result in memory corruption or a denial of service when processing crafted input.
A flaw was found in device-mapper-multipath. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read by sending a command with a format string ending in a trailing percent character to the multipath daemon. This issue can allow the user to expose unintended daemon memory, leading to information disclosure, or cause the daemon to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
A flaw was found in luksmeta. Improper boundary validation of metadata slots allows an attacker capable of supplying or modifying a disk header to redirect wipe or load operations outside the intended metadata area. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a crafted header with valid checksums to overwrite or zero out encrypted payload data, resulting in persistent data loss and corrupted storage. Exploitation typically requires privileged access to modify raw block devices or the ability to induce an administrator to process an untrusted disk image.
A flaw was found in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 kernel builds. An incomplete backport of the CVE-2026-46099 fix in RHEL 9.6 through 9.10 left a local_bh imbalance in seg6_input_core(), where the drop path returns with bottom halves still disabled. This can lead to softirq starvation and denial of service on systems with SRv6 tunnels configured. Upstream and RHEL 10 are not affected.
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in gssproxy. When a GSSX_INIT_SEC_CONTEXT request is received with the target_name field absent, the daemon dereferences the resulting NULL pointer and crashes. The request requires no authentication, allowing any local user to crash the gssproxy daemon via its Unix socket. The daemon does not automatically restart, resulting in a persistent denial of service that also affects dependent services such as Kerberized NFS and IdM.
A flaw was found in GCC libstdc++. When an application extracts data into a bitset from a wide-character stream, internal stack memory allocation fails to properly account for character size and alignment. An attacker capable of supplying crafted input to an affected application could trigger a stack-based buffer overflow leading denial of service (DoS).
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-decrypt-pkcs11 script passes the PKCS#11 token PIN as a command-line argument to pkcs11-tool, making it visible to any local user through process listing or the /proc filesystem.
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-luks-pkcs11-askpin script writes the PKCS#11 token PIN in plaintext to a file without setting restrictive permissions. Under the default process umask, the file is world-readable. Additionally, the PIN file is not reliably cleaned up if the decryption script exits early, leaving the PIN accessible indefinitely.
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-pkcs11-afunix-socket-unlock daemon creates AF_UNIX sockets without explicit permission restrictions or peer credential verification. Under a permissive process umask, any local user can connect to the control socket and inject arbitrary device/key pairs, or connect to the data socket to receive LUKS passphrases.
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-pkcs11-afunix-socket-unlock daemon logs LUKS disk encryption passphrases in plaintext to a log file. The log file is created without restrictive permissions, making it world-readable under the default process umask. A local attacker can read the log file to obtain the LUKS passphrase.
A flaw was found in libssh. The API function `ssh_get_hexa()` is vulnerable to a denial of service when processing zero-length input. This can be exploited remotely by an attacker during GSSAPI (Generic Security Service Application Program Interface) authentication if the server's logging verbosity is set to `SSH_LOG_PACKET (3)` or higher. Successful exploitation could lead to a self-Denial of Service of the per-connection daemon process.
| A malicious SCP server can send unexpected paths that could make the
client application override local files outside of working directory.
This could be misused to create malicious executable or configuration
files and make the user execute them under specific consequences.
This is the same issue as in OpenSSH, tracked as CVE-2019-6111. |
A flaw was found in polkit. When processing an XML policy with 32 or more nested elements in depth, an out-of-bounds write can be triggered. This issue can lead to a crash or other unexpected behavior, and arbitrary code execution is not discarded. To exploit this flaw, a high-privilege account is needed as it's required to place the malicious policy file properly.
A flaw was found in luksmeta. A local attacker with administrative privileges can cause data corruption when saving metadata to a Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) device. Due to incorrect boundary calculations and flawed overlap detection, new metadata entries can be written beyond available free space or over existing records. This issue can corrupt stored encrypted payload data or existing metadata, potentially rendering the affected data inaccessible.
A flaw was found in SSSD. In trust-enabled identity management environments, SSSD evaluates Host-Based Access Control (HBAC) rules by stripping domain qualifiers and comparing only short usernames. An authenticated user in a trusted domain who shares the same username as an authorized local account can bypass access policies and gain unauthorized access to protected services or hosts.
A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured to use Microsoft Entra ID, search inputs are not properly sanitized before being incorporated into directory query filters. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted lookup request, manipulating the query logic to cause unauthorized information disclosure from the directory.
A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). When Identity Provider (IdP) authentication is enabled, pre-authentication requests retain state in memory without being cleared or timed out. A local attacker can repeatedly initiate authentication flows without completing them, causing unbounded memory consumption. This memory exhaustion can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) by degrading or terminating SSSD authentication services.
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by exploiting a race condition in the autofs responder between asynchronous enumeration completion and map invalidation. By repeatedly sending concurrent map enumeration and invalidation requests, an attacker can cause memory to leak, leading to excessive memory consumption that can disrupt or crash the autofs service.
A flaw was found in sssd. A local attacker can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a specially crafted Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) request when passkey authentication is enabled. Due to a missing state validation check in passkey Kerberos handling, the PAM responder dereferences an uninitialized pointer and crashes. This failure disrupts authentication services on the host.
