CVE-2026-89792 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: prevent out-of-bounds reads in share config responses Validate IPC share configuration payload sizes before consuming variable-length fields. Bound veto list parsing and account for the separator byte when deriving the path length.
CVE-2026-89731 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/ras: Fix cxl_rch_get_aer_info() out-of-bounds AER register read cxl_rch_get_aer_info() copies the RCH Downstream Port AER capability from the RCRB MMIO block using a readl() loop bounded by sizeof(struct aer_capability_regs). This struct is a software layout and its embedded struct pcie_tlp_log is larger than the on-wire AER capability. As a result the loop reads past the mapped AER register block. The over-read also populates the software-only tail fields including header_log.header_len. An out-of-range header_len passed to pcie_print_tlp_log() can then loop past the header log buffer and cause a second out-of-bounds read. The read was correct when introduced, but struct pcie_tlp_log has since grown (Header Log and TLP Prefix Log sizes, header_len and flit fields), so sizeof(struct aer_capability_regs) no longer matches the physical AER capability. Bound the read to the physical AER registers, header through the 16 byte Header Log. Zero the destination first so the software-only fields are deterministic.
CVE-2026-89700 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: validate sockaddr length per family in listener_set nfsd_sock_nl_policy declares NFSD_A_SOCK_ADDR as a bare NLA_BINARY attribute with no minimum length. A CAP_NET_ADMIN caller can send a 16-byte NFSD_A_SOCK_ADDR with sa_family=AF_INET6, causing a 12-byte OOB read across three consumers (rpc_cmp_addr_port, svc_find_listener, kernel_bind). nfsd_nl_listener_set_doit() also parsed and validated each listener entry inline in two separate loops, interleaved with mutating the running listener configuration. The validation was duplicated, used an open-coded "nla_len < sizeof(struct sockaddr)" check that was too short for AF_INET6, and handled a malformed entry inconsistently depending on which loop noticed it. Add an nfsd_nl_validate_listeners() helper that walks the entire list once and confirms each entry parses, carries both an address and a transport name, and is long enough for its address family (sizeof(struct sockaddr_in) for AF_INET, sizeof(struct sockaddr_in6) for AF_INET6, -EAFNOSUPPORT otherwise). Call it before taking nfsd_mutex or creating the serv, so a malformed request fails cleanly with no side effects. Since every entry is known valid by the time the two existing loops run, drop the redundant presence and per-family length checks from both, leaving only the nla_parse_nested() call needed to extract the data.
CVE-2026-89698 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: widen nfsd_genl_rqstp address fields to sockaddr_storage struct nfsd_genl_rqstp declares rq_daddr and rq_saddr as plain "struct sockaddr" (16 bytes). When an IPv6 NFS client is connected, nfsd_genl_rpc_status_compose_msg() casts these fields to "struct sockaddr_in6 *" (28 bytes) and reads sin6_addr at offset 8..24, which extends 8 bytes past the end of the 16-byte sockaddr field into the adjacent rq_flags member. The 16-byte nla_put_in6_addr then ships 8 bytes of truncated IPv6 address followed by 8 bytes of rq_flags to userspace via the NFSD_A_RPC_STATUS_SADDR6/DADDR6 netlink attributes. This is reachable by any unprivileged process in the network namespace because NFSD_CMD_RPC_STATUS_GET uses GENL_CMD_CAP_DUMP without GENL_ADMIN_PERM. Fix by widening rq_daddr and rq_saddr to struct sockaddr_storage so the IPv6 casts operate within bounds, copying sizeof(struct sockaddr_storage) bytes in the memcpy calls so the full address is captured, and zero-initializing the genl_rqstp stack variable to prevent leaking uninitialized tail bytes through netlink.
CVE-2026-89492 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate directory-index entry counts when reading metadata ocfs2_validate_dx_leaf() and ocfs2_validate_dx_root() check the ECC and signature of an indexed-directory block before it reaches higher-level callers, but neither validator bounds the ocfs2_dx_entry_list counts against the capacity of the block that holds them. ocfs2_dx_dir_search() then walks for (i = 0; i < le16_to_cpu(entry_list->de_num_used); i++) dx_entry = &entry_list->de_entries[i]; over de_num_used entries with no bounds check. entry_list is either dx_leaf->dl_list (from ocfs2_read_dx_leaf) or, for an inline root, dx_root->dr_entries. A crafted on-disk image can set de_num_used (and de_count, which is the __counted_by_le() bound of de_entries) to 0xffff and make the walk read far past the end of the 4KB metadata block, giving a slab out-of-bounds read reachable from any path lookup, stat() or open() on an indexed directory once the image is mounted. Commit 775c17386a6f ("ocfs2: validate dx_root extent list fields during block read") already bounds dr_list for the non-inline dx_root, but left the inline dr_entries path and the dx_leaf dl_list unchecked. Add the same read-time validation for both entry lists: de_count must equal the capacity of the block (ocfs2_dx_entries_per_leaf()/per_root()) and de_num_used must not exceed de_count, rejecting corrupted metadata with -EFSCORRUPTED before ocfs2_dx_dir_search() can walk an out-of-range entry array. de_count is always written as exactly the block capacity when a leaf or inline root is formatted, so the equality check does not reject any valid image. Found by 0sec automated security-research tooling (https://0sec.ai).
CVE-2026-80836 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: virtio - bound the akcipher result length virtio_crypto_dataq_akcipher_callback() sets the result length from the device-reported response length without bounding it to the destination buffer, which was allocated for the original request length. sg_copy_from_buffer() then reads that many bytes from the destination buffer; a backend reporting a larger length over-reads adjacent kernel heap into the caller's scatterlist (an out-of-bounds read). Clamp the reported length to the originally requested destination length. A conforming device reports no more than that, so valid results are unaffected.
CVE-2026-74294 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: meson: aiu: Validate written enum values The AIU HDMI and internal codec mux put callbacks use the written enum value with snd_soc_enum_item_to_val() before checking whether the value is valid for the enumeration. Reject out-of-range values before converting the enum item, matching the validation already done by the G12A HDMI and internal codec mux controls.
CVE-2026-74291 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: topology: Check PCM and DAI name strings before use Topology objects store several PCM and DAI names in fixed-size UAPI arrays. Other topology parser paths validate these fields with bounded strnlen() checks before using them as C strings, but the PCM and DAI paths still pass some fixed-size arrays directly to strlen(), devm_kstrdup(), DAI lookup, and diagnostic prints. A malformed topology blob with a non-NUL-terminated PCM, DAI, or stream capability name can therefore make the parser read past the end of the fixed-size field. Reject unterminated PCM and DAI name fields before consuming them as C strings.
CVE-2026-74269 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt: fix head underflow on XDP head-grow The xdp.py test test_xdp_native_adjst_head_grow_data crashes when run on a bnxt machine (and also crashes in NIPA). It seems that the bug is an underflow in bnxt_rx_multi_page_skb, which builds the skb head: napi_build_skb(data_ptr - bp->rx_offset, rxr->rx_page_size); The problem with this expression is that in page mode, rx_offset is: bp->rx_offset = NET_IP_ALIGN + XDP_PACKET_HEADROOM; Which evaluates (at least on x86_64) to 258. The test test_xdp_native_adjst_head_grow_data tests a case where the head is adjusted by -256. When this test runs, data_ptr is shifted to frag_start + 2 (where frag_start = page_address(page) + offset). Then, bnxt_rx_multi_page_skb is invoked and the napi_build_skb expression subtracts 258, landing at an address before frag_start. This could be either the previous fragment or the previous physical page when the offset is < 256 (e.g. if the fragment started at offset 0). When the skb is freed, the page pool fragment reference is dropped on either the wrong page or the wrong frag of the right page. In either case, the corrupted reference count can lead to the page being prematurely recycled while still in use. Once (incorrectly) recycled, it can be handed out again and on driver teardown this would result in a double free. The commit under fixes updated this code to handle the case where the native page size is >= 64k, but it unintentionally broke the head grow case. To fix this, add an offset field to struct bnxt_sw_rx_bd, mirroring the existing offset field in struct bnxt_sw_rx_agg_bd. Populate it on allocation and preserve it on reuse. In bnxt_rx_multi_page_skb, use the newly added offset field to compute the fragment start and pass that to napi_build_skb. Adjust the layout with skb_reserve. There are two cases, the non-adjustment case and the adjustment case. In both cases, the skb is built at page_address(page) + offset to account for the case where the native page size >= 64K and skb_reserve is called with data_ptr - (page_address(page) + offset). That difference equals bp->rx_offset when data_ptr was not moved, or bp->rx_offset + xdp_adjust when XDP adjusted the head. Re-running the failing test with this commit applied causes the test to run successfully to completion. The other rx_skb_func implementations don't have this issue.
CVE-2026-74258 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Guard __get_user acesss with access_ok for uprobe_multi data As reported by sashiko [1] we need to use access_ok to check the user space data bounds before we use __get-user to get it. CVE-2026-93376 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-09-21 6.3 Medium
Out of bounds read in DataTransfer in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.52 allowed a local attacker leveraging social engineering to read memory outside the sandbox via a local program. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-12912 2 Libtiff, Redhat 11 Libtiff, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2026-09-21 7.3 High
A flaw was found in libtiff. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted PixarLog-compressed TIFF image. This issue occurs when decoding Pixarlog codec images with the PIXARLOGDATAFMT_8BITABGR output format and a specific stride value, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This could potentially result in arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS).
CVE-2026-16118 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhui 2026-09-21 7.1 High
A flaw was found in xdgmime. A heap-based buffer overflow can be triggered in _xdg_mime_magic_parse_magic_line() in the xdgmimemagic.c file on little-endian systems when an attacker-controlled MIME magic file in a user-writable XDG data location (e.g., in the $XDG_DATA_HOME/mime/magic path) is parsed by an application performing MIME type detection (e.g., via g_content_type_guess()). When performing byte-swap, incorrect pointer arithmetic on the write side causes an out-of-bounds write of 2 bytes, resulting in an application crash or memory corruption.
CVE-2026-94129 1 Biostar 1 Valkyrie Aurora 2026-09-21 8.8 High
A vulnerability was detected in BioStar VALKYRIE AURORA 2.10.2411.0800. This vulnerability affects the function sub_1105C of the file BS_RVSIO64.sys of the component IOCTL Handler. The manipulation of the argument PhysicalAddress results in write-what-where condition. The attack needs to be approached locally. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.

The manipulation of the argument wan_num leads to buffer overflow. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-93749 1 7rulnik 1 Source-map-js 2026-09-21 7.5 High
source-map-js through 1.2.1 fails to validate the per-section offset line value in indexed source maps, allowing attackers to specify arbitrary numeric values. Attackers can supply extremely large offset line values that cause synchronous event loop blocking for extended periods, preventing the service from handling other requests.
