CVE-2023-52887 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: can: j1939: enhanced error handling for tightly received RTS messages in xtp_rx_rts_session_new This patch enhances error handling in scenarios with RTS (Request to Send) messages arriving closely. It replaces the less informative WARN_ON_ONCE backtraces with a new error handling method. This provides clearer error messages and allows for the early termination of problematic sessions. Previously, sessions were only released at the end of j1939_xtp_rx_rts(). Potentially this could be reproduced with something like: testj1939 -r vcan0:0x80 & while true; do # send first RTS cansend vcan0 18EC8090#1014000303002301; # send second RTS cansend vcan0 18EC8090#1014000303002301; # send abort cansend vcan0 18EC8090#ff00000000002301; done

If there is an RX interrupt between setting ring->end and netdev_sent_queue() we can hit the BUG_ON as bgmac_dma_tx_free() can miscalculate the queue size while called from bgmac_poll(). The machine which triggered the BUG runs a v4.14 RT kernel - but the issue seems present in mainline too.
CVE-2022-49325 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: add accessors to read/set tp->snd_cwnd We had various bugs over the years with code breaking the assumption that tp->snd_cwnd is greater than zero. Lately, syzbot reported the WARN_ON_ONCE(!tp->prior_cwnd) added in commit 8b8a321ff72c ("tcp: fix zero cwnd in tcp_cwnd_reduction") can trigger, and without a repro we would have to spend considerable time finding the bug. Instead of complaining too late, we want to catch where and when tp->snd_cwnd is set to an illegal value.

CVE-2021-47351 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ubifs: Fix races between xattr_{set|get} and listxattr operations UBIFS may occur some problems with concurrent xattr_{set|get} and listxattr operations, such as assertion failure, memory corruption, stale xattr value[1]. Fix it by importing a new rw-lock in @ubifs_inode to serilize write operations on xattr, concurrent read operations are still effective, just like ext4. CVE-2026-18581 1 Ggml-org 1 Llama.cpp 2026-08-03 3.3 Low
A vulnerability was determined in ggml-org llama.cpp e15efe0. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file common/jinja/parser.cpp of the component Jinja Minja Template Parser. Executing a manipulation with the input {{9|9|{ can lead to reachable assertion. The attack requires local access. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-67303 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-03 4.3 Medium
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains a reachable assertion (WINPR_ASSERT(OutputBufferLength == BytesReturned)) in serial_process_irp_device_control() in channels/serial/client/serial_main.c. When serial device redirection is enabled and a server-controlled IRP_MJ_DEVICE_CONTROL request specifies an unsupported IOCTL with a non-zero OutputBufferLength, CommDeviceIoControl() can fail with BytesReturned = 0, causing the mismatch to trigger the assertion and abort the client process (denial of service).
CVE-2025-56362 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-08-01 7.5 High
A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) before 1.4.2, specifically within the Level Control cluster's periodic server tick logic. When a MoveToLevel command is sent and immediately followed by a write of OperationMode=2 (in the Pump Configuration and Control cluster), the server tick function violates the assertion `currentLevel < maxLevel`, resulting in a crash. This can be exploited remotely without authentication to cause denial of service. Affected versions include 1.3 and 1.4 (commit ab3d5ae).
CVE-2026-52856 1 Pterodactyl 1 Wings 2026-07-31 7.5 High
Wings is the server control plane for Pterodactyl, a free, open-source game server management panel. Prior to 1.13.0, a malformed packet received during the SFTP connection handshake causes a Go panic. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.
CVE-2025-56361 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-07-31 7.5 High
A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) 1.3 thru 1.4, specifically within the Level Control cluster's server tick logic (`emberAfLevelControlClusterServerTickCallback`). When a MoveToLevel command is executed and followed by a conflicting write to the OperationMode attribute (in the Pump Configuration and Control cluster), an invariant check (`minLevel < currentLevel`) fails and causes the device to abort. This leads to a denial of service condition. The issue is confirmed in SDK versions 1.3 and 1.4 (commit ab3d5ae), and is triggered remotely without authentication.
CVE-2026-52718 2 Gstreamer Project, Redhat 5 Gstreamer Plugin, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more 2026-07-30 6.5 Medium
A denial of service vulnerability was found in GStreamer's AV1 codec parser in gst-plugins-bad. The gst_av1_parser_parse_tile_list_obu() function passes a byte count to a bit-reader API that expects a bit count, causing parser desynchronization. A remote attacker could trick a user into opening a specially crafted AV1 media file, triggering an assertion abort and causing the application to crash.
CVE-2025-71085 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: BUG() in pskb_expand_head() as part of calipso_skbuff_setattr() There exists a kernel oops caused by a BUG_ON(nhead < 0) at net/core/skbuff.c:2232 in pskb_expand_head(). This bug is triggered as part of the calipso_skbuff_setattr() routine when skb_cow() is passed headroom > INT_MAX (i.e. (int)(skb_headroom(skb) + len_delta) < 0). The root cause of the bug is due to an implicit integer cast in __skb_cow(). The check (headroom > skb_headroom(skb)) is meant to ensure that delta = headroom - skb_headroom(skb) is never negative, otherwise we will trigger a BUG_ON in pskb_expand_head(). However, if headroom > INT_MAX and delta <= -NET_SKB_PAD, the check passes, delta becomes negative, and pskb_expand_head() is passed a negative value for nhead. Fix the trigger condition in calipso_skbuff_setattr(). Avoid passing "negative" headroom sizes to skb_cow() within calipso_skbuff_setattr() by only using skb_cow() to grow headroom. PoC: Using `netlabelctl` tool: netlabelctl map del default netlabelctl calipso add pass doi:7 netlabelctl map add default address:0::1/128 protocol:calipso,7 Then run the following PoC: int fd = socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM, IPPROTO_UDP); // setup msghdr int cmsg_size = 2; int cmsg_len = 0x60; struct msghdr msg; struct sockaddr_in6 dest_addr; struct cmsghdr * cmsg = (struct cmsghdr *) calloc(1, sizeof(struct cmsghdr) + cmsg_len); msg.msg_name = &dest_addr; msg.msg_namelen = sizeof(dest_addr); msg.msg_iov = NULL; msg.msg_iovlen = 0; msg.msg_control = cmsg; msg.msg_controllen = cmsg_len; msg.msg_flags = 0; // setup sockaddr dest_addr.sin6_family = AF_INET6; dest_addr.sin6_port = htons(31337); dest_addr.sin6_flowinfo = htonl(31337); dest_addr.sin6_addr = in6addr_loopback; dest_addr.sin6_scope_id = 31337; // setup cmsghdr cmsg->cmsg_len = cmsg_len; cmsg->cmsg_level = IPPROTO_IPV6; cmsg->cmsg_type = IPV6_HOPOPTS; char * hop_hdr = (char *)cmsg + sizeof(struct cmsghdr); hop_hdr[1] = 0x9; //set hop size - (0x9 + 1) * 8 = 80 sendmsg(fd, &msg, 0);
CVE-2025-71080 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: fix a BUG in rt6_get_pcpu_route() under PREEMPT_RT On PREEMPT_RT kernels, after rt6_get_pcpu_route() returns NULL, the current task can be preempted. Another task running on the same CPU may then execute rt6_make_pcpu_route() and successfully install a pcpu_rt entry. When the first task resumes execution, its cmpxchg() in rt6_make_pcpu_route() will fail because rt6i_pcpu is no longer NULL, triggering the BUG_ON(prev). It's easy to reproduce it by adding mdelay() after rt6_get_pcpu_route(). Using preempt_disable/enable is not appropriate here because ip6_rt_pcpu_alloc() may sleep. Fix this by handling the cmpxchg() failure gracefully on PREEMPT_RT: free our allocation and return the existing pcpu_rt installed by another task. The BUG_ON is replaced by WARN_ON_ONCE for non-PREEMPT_RT kernels where such races should not occur.
CVE-2026-66754 1 Tomaka 1 Rouille 2026-07-29 5.9 Medium
Rouille 0.1.6 through 3.6.2 contains a reachable assertion vulnerability in the Request::remove_prefix function that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to crash the server by sending a crafted percent-encoded URL. Attackers can send a request whose decoded path matches a configured prefix while the raw percent-encoded path does not, causing the assert! to fail and triggering either a 500 error or full process termination depending on the panic configuration.
CVE-2025-5455 2 Qt, Redhat 2 Qt, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-29 5.3 Medium
An issue was found in the private API function qDecodeDataUrl() in QtCore, which is used in QTextDocument and QNetworkReply, and, potentially, in user code. If the function was called with malformed data, for example, an URL that contained a "charset" parameter that lacked a value (such as "data:charset,"), and Qt was built with assertions enabled, then it would hit an assertion, resulting in a denial of service (abort). This impacts Qt up to 5.15.18, 6.0.0->6.5.8, 6.6.0->6.8.3 and 6.9.0. This has been fixed in 5.15.19, 6.5.9, 6.8.4 and 6.9.1.
CVE-2026-63856 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-29 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/vcn: set no_user_fence for VCN v2.0 enc/dec rings VCN encoder and decoder rings do not support 64-bit user fence writes, reject CS submissions with user fences. CVE-2026-63989 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-29 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bridge: Fix sleep in atomic context in netlink path Since the introduction of the netlink configuration path for bridge ports in commit 25c71c75ac87 ("bridge: bridge port parameters over netlink"), br_setport() was always called with the bridge lock held around it. Back then this decision made sense: The bridge lock protects the STP state of the bridge and its ports and at that time the function only processed three STP related netlink attributes (cost, priority and state). Nowadays, br_setport() processes a lot more attributes and most of them do not need the bridge lock: * Bridge flags: Only require RTNL. Read locklessly by the data path. Annotations can be added in net-next. * FDB port flushing: Only requires the FDB lock. * Multicast attributes: Only require the multicast lock. * Group forward mask: Only requires RTNL. Read locklessly by the data path. Annotations can be added in net-next. * Backup port and NHID: Only require RTNL. Read locklessly by the data path. This is a problem as the bridge calls dev_set_promiscuity() when certain bridge port flags change and this function can sleep since the commit cited below, resulting in a splat such as [1]. Fix this by reducing the scope of the bridge lock and only take it when processing the three STP related attributes that require it. This is consistent with the multicast attributes where each attribute acquires the multicast lock instead of having one critical section for all relevant attributes. CVE-2026-47475 1 Nvidia 1 Tensorrt-llm 2026-07-28 6.2 Medium
NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM contains a vulnerability in the OpenAI-compatible inference API where an attacker could trigger a reachable assertion in the sampler thread. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
