CVE-2024-38613 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-17 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: m68k: Fix spinlock race in kernel thread creation Context switching does take care to retain the correct lock owner across the switch from 'prev' to 'next' tasks. This does rely on interrupts remaining disabled for the entire duration of the switch. This condition is guaranteed for normal process creation and context switching between already running processes, because both 'prev' and 'next' already have interrupts disabled in their saved copies of the status register. The situation is different for newly created kernel threads. The status register is set to PS_S in copy_thread(), which does leave the IPL at 0. Upon restoring the 'next' thread's status register in switch_to() aka resume(), interrupts then become enabled prematurely. resume() then returns via ret_from_kernel_thread() and schedule_tail() where run queue lock is released (see finish_task_switch() and finish_lock_switch()). A timer interrupt calling scheduler_tick() before the lock is released in finish_task_switch() will find the lock already taken, with the current task as lock owner. This causes a spinlock recursion warning as reported by Guenter Roeck. As far as I can ascertain, this race has been opened in commit 533e6903bea0 ("m68k: split ret_from_fork(), simplify kernel_thread()") but I haven't done a detailed study of kernel history so it may well predate that commit. Interrupts cannot be disabled in the saved status register copy for kernel threads (init will complain about interrupts disabled when finally starting user space). Disable interrupts temporarily when switching the tasks' register sets in resume(). Note that a simple oriw 0x700,%sr after restoring sr is not enough here - this leaves enough of a race for the 'spinlock recursion' warning to still be observed. Tested on ARAnyM and qemu (Quadra 800 emulation).
CVE-2024-39296 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-17 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: fix oops during rmmod "rmmod bonding" causes an oops ever since commit cc317ea3d927 ("bonding: remove redundant NULL check in debugfs function"). Here are the relevant functions being called: bonding_exit() bond_destroy_debugfs() debugfs_remove_recursive(bonding_debug_root); bonding_debug_root = NULL; <--------- SET TO NULL HERE bond_netlink_fini() rtnl_link_unregister() __rtnl_link_unregister() unregister_netdevice_many_notify() bond_uninit() bond_debug_unregister() (commit removed check for bonding_debug_root == NULL) debugfs_remove() simple_recursive_removal() down_write() -> OOPS However, reverting the bad commit does not solve the problem completely because the original code contains a race that could cause the same oops, although it was much less likely to be triggered unintentionally: CPU1 rmmod bonding bonding_exit() bond_destroy_debugfs() debugfs_remove_recursive(bonding_debug_root); CPU2 echo -bond0 > /sys/class/net/bonding_masters bond_uninit() bond_debug_unregister() if (!bonding_debug_root) CPU1 bonding_debug_root = NULL; So do NOT revert the bad commit (since the removed checks were racy anyway), and instead change the order of actions taken during module removal. The same oops can also happen if there is an error during module init, so apply the same fix there.

CVE-2025-32421 1 Vercel 1 Next.js 2025-09-10 3.7 Low
Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. Versions prior to 14.2.24 and 15.1.6 have a race-condition vulnerability. This issue only affects the Pages Router under certain misconfigurations, causing normal endpoints to serve `pageProps` data instead of standard HTML. This issue was patched in versions 15.1.6 and 14.2.24 by stripping the `x-now-route-matches` header from incoming requests. Applications hosted on Vercel's platform are not affected by this issue, as the platform does not cache responses based solely on `200 OK` status without explicit `cache-control` headers. Those who self-host Next.js deployments and are unable to upgrade immediately can mitigate this vulnerability by stripping the `x-now-route-matches` header from all incoming requests at the content development network and setting `cache-control: no-store` for all responses under risk. The maintainers of Next.js strongly recommend only caching responses with explicit cache-control headers.

CVE-2024-32477 1 Deno 1 Deno 2025-09-04 7.7 High
Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime with secure defaults. By using ANSI escape sequences and a race between `libc::tcflush(0, libc::TCIFLUSH)` and reading standard input, it's possible to manipulate the permission prompt and force it to allow an unsafe action regardless of the user input. Some ANSI escape sequences act as a info request to the master terminal emulator and the terminal emulator sends back the reply in the PTY channel. standard streams also use this channel to send and get data. For example the `\033[6n` sequence requests the current cursor position. These sequences allow us to append data to the standard input of Deno. This vulnerability allows an attacker to bypass Deno permission policy. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.42.2.
CVE-2025-32793 1 Cilium 1 Cilium 2025-09-03 4 Medium
Cilium is a networking, observability, and security solution with an eBPF-based dataplane. Versions 1.15.0 to 1.15.15, 1.16.0 to 1.16.8, and 1.17.0 to 1.17.2, are vulnerable when using Wireguard transparent encryption in a Cilium cluster, packets that originate from a terminating endpoint can leave the source node without encryption due to a race condition in how traffic is processed by Cilium. This issue has been patched in versions 1.15.16, 1.16.9, and 1.17.3. There are no workarounds available for this issue.

CVE-2025-20119 1 Cisco 1 Application Policy Infrastructure Controller 2025-07-31 6 Medium
A vulnerability in the system file permission handling of Cisco APIC could allow an authenticated, local attacker to overwrite critical system files, which could cause a DoS condition. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials. This vulnerability is due to a race condition with handling system files. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by doing specific operations on the file system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to overwrite system files, which could lead to the device being in an inconsistent state and cause a DoS condition.
