CVE-2026-91166 1 Warp-tech 1 Warpgate 2026-09-21 5.7 Medium
Warpgate is an open source SSH, HTTPS and MySQL bastion host for Linux. From 0.25.0 until 0.27.6, the browser SSH path in warpgate-web-ssh/src/manager.rs handles RCEvent::HostKeyUnknown without the presenting hop identity and instead passes ssh_options.host and ssh_options.port for the final target to KnownHosts::trust. In Prompt and AutoAccept modes, a jump host key can therefore be stored for the target address. A machine later presenting the jump host key at the target address can be accepted as the target, allowing interception of user traffic and a newly issued certificate when certificate authentication is used. The native SSH path is unaffected because it tracks each hop separately. This issue is fixed in version 0.27.6.
CVE-2025-3501 1 Redhat 2 Build Keycloak, Red Hat Single Sign On 2026-09-21 8.2 High
A flaw was found in Keycloak. By setting a verification policy to 'ALL', the trust store certificate verification is skipped, which is unintended.
CVE-2026-84975 1 Pjsip 1 Pjproject 2026-09-20 7.4 High
PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In 2.17 and earlier, the OpenSSL and GnuTLS backends in pjlib/src/pj/ssl_sock_ossl.c and pjlib/src/pj/ssl_sock_gtls.c copy DNS SubjectAltName values with string functions that recalculate their length and truncate an embedded NUL byte. With server verification enabled through --tls-verify-server for the PJSIP TLS/SIPS transport, a certificate containing a DNS SubjectAltName formed from the target hostname prefix followed by an embedded NUL and an attacker-controlled suffix can therefore be accepted for the prefix hostname. An attacker who possesses such a certificate from a trusted issuer and can intercept the connection can impersonate the target server, complete the SIP session, and receive REGISTER credentials. The mbedTLS backend is not affected because it preserves the explicit string length. No fixed version is available as of this review.
CVE-2026-59969 1 Apache 1 Zookeeper 2026-09-18 7.5 High
Apache ZooKeeper quorum TLS fails to enforce peer hostname verification in FIPS-mode deployments. When sslQuorum=true, zookeeper.fips-mode=true, ssl.quorum.hostnameVerification=true, and ssl.quorum.clientHostnameVerification=true are enabled, the Java SSLSocket quorum path accepts a CA-trusted peer certificate whose SAN does not match the connected host. A malicious or misissued peer certificate can therefore join quorum traffic, participate in leader election, and enter replication flows. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.8.7 or 3.9.6, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-92943 1 Aws 1 Awsiotpythonsdk 2026-09-17 8.1 High
Improper validation of certificate with host mismatch in the MQTT client TLS connection layer in AWS IoT Device SDK for Python 1.5.3 through 1.6.0 on Python 3.7 and later might allow an adversary-in-the-middle actor to impersonate the AWS IoT Core endpoint, read device telemetry, and inject arbitrary MQTT messages that the device processes as authentic, via a certificate issued for an unrelated hostname by a certificate authority present in the device trust store. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.6.1.
CVE-2026-79943 1 Dell 3 Secure Connect Gateway, Secure Connect Gateway Appliance, Secure Connect Gateway Application 2026-09-16 4.8 Medium
Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to protection mechanism bypass.
CVE-2026-9547 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Curl, Curl 2026-09-15 7.4 High
When a libcurl-based application performs transfers via `SCP://` or `SFTP://` and utilizes the `CURLOPT_SSH_KEYFUNCTION` callback, it may silently accept an untrusted server. This vulnerability occurs when a server presents a host key type that does not match the specific key type already recorded for that host in the `known_hosts` file. Instead of rejecting the mismatch, the callback mechanism fails to properly enforce the restriction, allowing the connection to succeed without warning and risking a potential man-in-the-middle attack.
CVE-2026-12064 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Curl, Curl 2026-09-15 7.5 High
When a user invokes curl using a schemeless URL combined with `--proto-default` sftp (or scp), a disconnect occurs between the tool layer and libcurl. The tool layer incorrectly infers the URL scheme, which erroneously bypasses the initialization of critical SSH security options like CURLOPT_SSH_HOST_PUBLIC_KEY_SHA256 and CURLOPT_SSH_KNOWNHOSTS. Conversely, the libcurl runtime successfully honors CURLOPT_DEFAULT_PROTOCOL and establishes the connection via SFTP/SCP as specified. Because the tool layer skipped the security configuration, these SSH host verification options are silently omitted, causing curl to connect to an unverified SSH remote host without throwing an error.
CVE-2026-79636 1 Dell 3 Secure Connect Gateway, Secure Connect Gateway Appliance, Secure Connect Gateway Application 2026-09-13 7 High
Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access.
CVE-2026-84197 1 Eclipse 1 Ditto 2026-09-11 N/A
In Eclipse Ditto's Node.js JavaScript client, all released versions of @eclipse-ditto/ditto-javascript-client-node from 2.0.0 to 3.9.0 and of its predecessor package @eclipse-ditto/ditto-javascript-client-node_1.0 from 1.0.0 to 2.1.0, the WebSocket transport hard-codes rejectUnauthorized: false when creating the underlying ws WebSocket. Certificate chain and hostname validation are therefore disabled for every wss:// connection, and no builder option, constructor argument or environment variable lets an application turn validation back on. An attacker in a position to intercept the connection can present an arbitrary certificate, complete the TLS handshake, read the credentials that the configured authentication provider sends in the Authorization header of the WebSocket upgrade request, and read, alter or inject Ditto Protocol messages for the lifetime of the connection. The Java client, the browser/DOM JavaScript client and the HTTP transport of the Node.js client are not affected.
CVE-2026-9744 1 Ibm 2 Netezza Performance Server, Netezza Software 2026-09-10 5.3 Medium
IBM Netezza Software 11.3.0.3 through Interim Fix 002 does not validate or improperly validates TLS certificate validation, which could allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information using man in the middle techniques.
CVE-2026-84393 1 Fortinet 2 Fortios, Fortiproxy 2026-09-08 7.3 High
A improper validation of certificate with host mismatch vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 7.6.1 through 7.6.6, FortiProxy 7.6.2 through 7.6.6 may allow attacker to information disclosure via <insert attack vector here>

Any application shipping logs to RabbitMQ over TLS via the Log4j2 appender, relying on the documented default, is exposed to man-in-the-middle interception of every log event. Spring AMQP 4.1.0 Spring AMQP 4.0.0 - 4.0.4 Spring AMQP 3.2.0 - 3.2.12 Spring AMQP 2.4.18 and earlier
CVE-2026-59638 2 Bouncycastle, Legion Of The Bouncy Castle Inc. 6 Bc-java, Bctls-fips, Bouncy Castle For Java Lts and 3 more 2026-08-28 6.5 Medium
In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.85, JSSE hostname verifier CN-fallback enabled by default despite documented opt-in. This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.12, and Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) before bctls-fips 1.0.24 (1.0.X series), 2.0.24 (2.0.X series) and 2.1.24 (2.1.X series).
CVE-2026-62243 1 Netty 1 Netty 2026-08-24 7.5 High
Netty (io.netty:netty-handler) versions from 4.2.0.Final through 4.2.16.Final and versions through 4.1.136.Final disable TLS hostname verification on the SslProvider.OPENSSL client path when a plain (non-extended) X509TrustManager is used and Unsafe-based trust-manager wrapping is unavailable (Java 25+). In this configuration the OpenSSL client does not perform hostname verification, allowing a man-in-the-middle attacker to present a certificate issued for a different hostname that is accepted without validation. Fixed in 4.2.17.Final and 4.1.137.Final.
CVE-2025-59060 1 Apache 1 Ranger 2026-08-24 5.3 Medium
Hostname verification bypass issue in Apache Ranger NiFiRegistryClient is reported in Apache Ranger versions <= 2.7.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.8.0, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2026-53583 1 Libgit2 1 Libgit2 2026-08-21 6.5 Medium
libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, verify_server_cert in src/libgit2/streams/openssl.c uses an inverted !!memcmp result in the GEN_IPADD branch when comparing an IP-literal host with a certificate IP SubjectAltName. OpenSSL builds reject matching IP addresses and accept mismatched IP addresses, allowing a network attacker with a CA-trusted certificate containing any IP SubjectAltName to intercept libgit2 connections to IP-literal HTTPS URLs. DNS SubjectAltName validation and non-OpenSSL TLS backends are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.6 and 1.9.5.
CVE-2026-11751 1 Ly Corporation 1 Armeria 2026-08-20 N/A
A vulnerability has been identified in armeria-xds versions prior to 1.41.0, where xDS upstream TLS peer verification may be silently disabled, allowing man-in-the-middle attacks against xDS-managed upstream connections.
CVE-2026-65942 1 Apache 1 Ranger 2026-08-17 7.5 High
TLS hostname verification issue in Apache Ranger Client Code in versions <= 2.8.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.9.0, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2026-49457 1 Benoitc 1 Erlang Quic 2026-08-17 9.1 Critical
erlang_quic is a pure Erlang QUIC implementation. Prior to version 1.4.4, the QUIC client did not authenticate the server during the TLS 1.3 handshake. The CertificateVerify signature was not checked, the certificate chain was not validated, and the hostname was not compared against the certificate, so `verify` was effectively a no-op on the client. A man-in-the-middle on the network path could present any certificate and impersonate any server, defeating the confidentiality and integrity of the connection. HTTP/3 uses the same client and was equally affected. Handshakes authenticated by a PSK (session resumption) are not affected, because the peer is authenticated by the PSK binder and no certificate is sent. This is fixed in 1.4.4. The client now verifies the CertificateVerify signature, validates the certificate chain against the trust store (`cacerts` option, the operating system store by default), and checks the hostname. Client `verify` now defaults to on; set `verify => false` to accept any certificate (for example a self-signed test server). No known workarounds are available before 1.4.4. `verify => true` had no effect, and inspecting the certificate after connecting does not help because without the signature check the peer is never proven to own the certificate it presents.
