CVE-2025-40288 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in VRAM logic for APU devices Previously, APU platforms (and other scenarios with uninitialized VRAM managers) triggered a NULL pointer dereference in `ttm_resource_manager_usage()`. The root cause is not that the `struct ttm_resource_manager *man` pointer itself is NULL, but that `man->bdev` (the backing device pointer within the manager) remains uninitialized (NULL) on APUs—since APUs lack dedicated VRAM and do not fully set up VRAM manager structures. When `ttm_resource_manager_usage()` attempts to acquire `man->bdev->lru_lock`, it dereferences the NULL `man->bdev`, leading to a kernel OOPS. 1. **amdgpu_cs.c**: Extend the existing bandwidth control check in `amdgpu_cs_get_threshold_for_moves()` to include a check for `ttm_resource_manager_used()`. If the manager is not used (uninitialized `bdev`), return 0 for migration thresholds immediately—skipping VRAM-specific logic that would trigger the NULL dereference. 2. **amdgpu_kms.c**: Update the `AMDGPU_INFO_VRAM_USAGE` ioctl and memory info reporting to use a conditional: if the manager is used, return the real VRAM usage; otherwise, return 0. This avoids accessing `man->bdev` when it is NULL. 3. **amdgpu_virt.c**: Modify the vf2pf (virtual function to physical function) data write path. Use `ttm_resource_manager_used()` to check validity: if the manager is usable, calculate `fb_usage` from VRAM usage; otherwise, set `fb_usage` to 0 (APUs have no discrete framebuffer to report). This approach is more robust than APU-specific checks because it: - Works for all scenarios where the VRAM manager is uninitialized (not just APUs), - Aligns with TTM's design by using its native helper function, - Preserves correct behavior for discrete GPUs (which have fully initialized `man->bdev` and pass the `ttm_resource_manager_used()` check). v4: use ttm_resource_manager_used(&adev->mman.vram_mgr.manager) instead of checking the adev->gmc.is_app_apu flag (Christian)

CVE-2025-40275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix NULL pointer dereference in snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd In snd_usb_create_streams(), for UAC version 3 devices, the Interface Association Descriptor (IAD) is retrieved via usb_ifnum_to_if(). If this call fails, a fallback routine attempts to obtain the IAD from the next interface and sets a BADD profile. However, snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd() assumes that the IAD retrieved from usb_ifnum_to_if() is always valid, without performing a NULL check. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference when usb_ifnum_to_if() fails to find the interface descriptor. This patch adds a NULL pointer check after calling usb_ifnum_to_if() in snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd() to prevent the dereference. This issue was discovered by syzkaller, which triggered the bug by sending a crafted USB device descriptor.
CVE-2023-54105 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: isotp: check CAN address family in isotp_bind() Add missing check to block non-AF_CAN binds. Syzbot created some code which matched the right sockaddr struct size but used AF_XDP (0x2C) instead of AF_CAN (0x1D) in the address family field: bind$xdp(r2, &(0x7f0000000540)={0x2c, 0x0, r4, 0x0, r2}, 0x10) ^^^^ This has no funtional impact but the userspace should be notified about the wrong address family field content.

Incase of failure on SIGQUIT, the error is not handled in scx_alloc_and_add_sched() and scx_enable() ends up dereferencing an error pointer. Error handling is fixed in scx_alloc_and_add_sched() to propagate PTR_ERR() into ret, so that scx_enable() jumps to the existing error path, avoiding random dereference on failure.
CVE-2025-40267 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/rw: ensure allocated iovec gets cleared for early failure A previous commit reused the recyling infrastructure for early cleanup, but this is not enough for the case where our internal caches have overflowed. If this happens, then the allocated iovec can get leaked if the request is also aborted early. Reinstate the previous forced free of the iovec for that situation.
CVE-2023-54099 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: Protect reconfiguration of sb read-write from racing writes The reconfigure / remount code takes a lot of effort to protect filesystem's reconfiguration code from racing writes on remounting read-only. However during remounting read-only filesystem to read-write mode userspace writes can start immediately once we clear SB_RDONLY flag. This is inconvenient for example for ext4 because we need to do some writes to the filesystem (such as preparation of quota files) before we can take userspace writes so we are clearing SB_RDONLY flag before we are fully ready to accept userpace writes and syzbot has found a way to exploit this [1]. Also as far as I'm reading the code the filesystem remount code was protected from racing writes in the legacy mount path by the mount's MNT_READONLY flag so this is relatively new problem. It is actually fairly easy to protect remount read-write from racing writes using sb->s_readonly_remount flag so let's just do that instead of having to workaround these races in the filesystem code. CVE-2023-54097 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: stm32-pwr: fix of_iomap leak Smatch reports: drivers/regulator/stm32-pwr.c:166 stm32_pwr_regulator_probe() warn: 'base' from of_iomap() not released on lines: 151,166. In stm32_pwr_regulator_probe(), base is not released when devm_kzalloc() fails to allocate memory or devm_regulator_register() fails to register a new regulator device, which may cause a leak. To fix this issue, replace of_iomap() with devm_platform_ioremap_resource(). devm_platform_ioremap_resource() is a specialized function for platform devices. It allows 'base' to be automatically released whether the probe function succeeds or fails. Besides, use IS_ERR(base) instead of !base as the return value of devm_platform_ioremap_resource() can either be a pointer to the remapped memory or an ERR_PTR() encoded error code if the operation fails.

CVE-2023-54225 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipa: only reset hashed tables when supported Last year, the code that manages GSI channel transactions switched from using spinlock-protected linked lists to using indexes into the ring buffer used for a channel. Recently, Google reported seeing transaction reference count underflows occasionally during shutdown. Doug Anderson found a way to reproduce the issue reliably, and bisected the issue to the commit that eliminated the linked lists and the lock. The root cause was ultimately determined to be related to unused transactions being committed as part of the modem shutdown cleanup activity. Unused transactions are not normally expected (except in error cases). The modem uses some ranges of IPA-resident memory, and whenever it shuts down we zero those ranges. In ipa_filter_reset_table() a transaction is allocated to zero modem filter table entries. If hashing is not supported, hashed table memory should not be zeroed. But currently nothing prevents that, and the result is an unused transaction. Something similar occurs when we zero routing table entries for the modem. By preventing any attempt to clear hashed tables when hashing is not supported, the reference count underflow is avoided in this case. Note that there likely remains an issue with properly freeing unused transactions (if they occur due to errors). This patch addresses only the underflows that Google originally reported.

CVE-2023-54080 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: zoned: skip splitting and logical rewriting on pre-alloc write When doing a relocation, there is a chance that at the time of btrfs_reloc_clone_csums(), there is no checksum for the corresponding region. In this case, btrfs_finish_ordered_zoned()'s sum points to an invalid item and so ordered_extent's logical is set to some invalid value. Then, btrfs_lookup_block_group() in btrfs_zone_finish_endio() failed to find a block group and will hit an assert or a null pointer dereference as following. This can be reprodcued by running btrfs/028 several times (e.g, 4 to 16 times) with a null_blk setup. The device's zone size and capacity is set to 32 MB and the storage size is set to 5 GB on my setup.
