CVE-2022-50740 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: fix memory leak of urbs in ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs() Syzkaller reports a long-known leak of urbs in ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs(). The cause of the leak is that usb_get_urb() is called but usb_free_urb() (or usb_put_urb()) is not called inside usb_kill_urb() as urb->dev or urb->ep fields have not been initialized and usb_kill_urb() returns immediately. The patch removes trying to kill urbs located in hif_dev->tx.tx_buf because hif_dev->tx.tx_buf is not supposed to contain urbs which are in pending state (the pending urbs are stored in hif_dev->tx.tx_pending). The tx.tx_lock is acquired so there should not be any changes in the list. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix nullptr err of vm_handle_moved If a amdgpu_bo_va is fpriv->prt_va, the bo of this one is always NULL. So, such kind of amdgpu_bo_va should be updated separately before amdgpu_vm_handle_moved.
CVE-2022-50728 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/lcs: Fix return type of lcs_start_xmit() With clang's kernel control flow integrity (kCFI, CONFIG_CFI_CLANG), indirect call targets are validated against the expected function pointer prototype to make sure the call target is valid to help mitigate ROP attacks. If they are not identical, there is a failure at run time, which manifests as either a kernel panic or thread getting killed. A proposed warning in clang aims to catch these at compile time, which reveals: drivers/s390/net/lcs.c:2090:21: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'netdev_tx_t (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' (aka 'enum netdev_tx (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)') with an expression of type 'int (struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' [-Werror,-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types-strict] .ndo_start_xmit = lcs_start_xmit, ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~ drivers/s390/net/lcs.c:2097:21: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'netdev_tx_t (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' (aka 'enum netdev_tx (*)(struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)') with an expression of type 'int (struct sk_buff *, struct net_device *)' [-Werror,-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types-strict] .ndo_start_xmit = lcs_start_xmit, ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ->ndo_start_xmit() in 'struct net_device_ops' expects a return type of 'netdev_tx_t', not 'int'. Adjust the return type of lcs_start_xmit() to match the prototype's to resolve the warning and potential CFI failure, should s390 select ARCH_SUPPORTS_CFI_CLANG in the future.
CVE-2022-50742 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: ocxl: fix possible refcount leak in afu_ioctl() eventfd_ctx_put need to be called to put the refcount that gotten by eventfd_ctx_fdget when ocxl_irq_set_handler fails.
CVE-2025-40194 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: intel_pstate: Fix object lifecycle issue in update_qos_request() The cpufreq_cpu_put() call in update_qos_request() takes place too early because the latter subsequently calls freq_qos_update_request() that indirectly accesses the policy object in question through the QoS request object passed to it. Fortunately, update_qos_request() is called under intel_pstate_driver_lock, so this issue does not matter for changing the intel_pstate operation mode, but it theoretically can cause a crash to occur on CPU device hot removal (which currently can only happen in virt, but it is formally supported nevertheless). Address this issue by modifying update_qos_request() to drop the reference to the policy later.

CVE-2022-50721 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: qcom-adm: fix wrong calling convention for prep_slave_sg The calling convention for pre_slave_sg is to return NULL on error and provide an error log to the system. Qcom-adm instead provide error pointer when an error occur. This indirectly cause kernel panic for example for the nandc driver that checks only if the pointer returned by device_prep_slave_sg is not NULL. Returning an error pointer makes nandc think the device_prep_slave_sg function correctly completed and makes the kernel panics later in the code. While nandc is the one that makes the kernel crash, it was pointed out that the real problem is qcom-adm not following calling convention for that function. To fix this, drop returning error pointer and return NULL with an error log.

CVE-2025-40338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: Intel: avs: Do not share the name pointer between components By sharing 'name' directly, tearing down components may lead to use-after-free errors. Duplicate the name to avoid that. At the same time, update the order of operations - since commit cee28113db17 ("ASoC: dmaengine_pcm: Allow passing component name via config") the framework does not override component->name if set before invoking the initializer.

CVE-2022-50710 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: set tx_tstamps when creating new Tx rings via ethtool When the user changes the number of queues via ethtool, the driver allocates new rings. This allocation did not initialize tx_tstamps. This results in the tx_tstamps field being zero (due to kcalloc allocation), and would result in a NULL pointer dereference when attempting a transmit timestamp on the new ring.

CVE-2022-50709 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: avoid uninit memory read in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() syzbot is reporting uninit value at ath9k_htc_rx_msg() [1], for ioctl(USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_WRITE) can call ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() with pkt_len = 0 but ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() uses __dev_alloc_skb(pkt_len + 32, GFP_ATOMIC) based on an assumption that pkt_len is valid. As a result, ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() allocates skb with uninitialized memory and ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is reading from uninitialized memory. Since bytes accessed by ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is not known until ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is called, it would be difficult to check minimal valid pkt_len at "if (pkt_len > 2 * MAX_RX_BUF_SIZE) {" line in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). We have two choices. One is to workaround by adding __GFP_ZERO so that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() sees 0 if pkt_len is invalid. The other is to let ath9k_htc_rx_msg() validate pkt_len before accessing. This patch chose the latter. Note that I'm not sure threshold condition is correct, for I can't find details on possible packet length used by this protocol.
CVE-2023-54014 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium

CVE-2022-50627 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix monitor mode bringup crash When the interface is brought up in monitor mode, it leads to NULL pointer dereference crash. This crash happens when the packet type is extracted for a SKB. That avoids valid complaints like: stack backtrace: CPU: 1 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/1 Not tainted 6.0.0-rc6-syzkaller-00321-g105a36f3694e #0 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 08/26/2022 Call Trace: <IRQ> __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:88 [inline] dump_stack_lvl+0xcd/0x134 lib/dump_stack.c:106 print_usage_bug kernel/locking/lockdep.c:3961 [inline] valid_state kernel/locking/lockdep.c:3973 [inline] mark_lock_irq kernel/locking/lockdep.c:4176 [inline] mark_lock.part.0.cold+0x18/0xd8 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:4632 mark_lock kernel/locking/lockdep.c:4596 [inline] mark_usage kernel/locking/lockdep.c:4527 [inline] __lock_acquire+0x11d9/0x56d0 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5007 lock_acquire kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5666 [inline] lock_acquire+0x1ab/0x570 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5631 __fs_reclaim_acquire mm/page_alloc.c:4674 [inline] fs_reclaim_acquire+0x115/0x160 mm/page_alloc.c:4688 might_alloc include/linux/sched/mm.h:271 [inline] slab_pre_alloc_hook mm/slab.h:700 [inline] slab_alloc mm/slab.c:3278 [inline] __kmem_cache_alloc_lru mm/slab.c:3471 [inline] kmem_cache_alloc+0x39/0x520 mm/slab.c:3491 fanotify_alloc_fid_event fs/notify/fanotify/fanotify.c:580 [inline] fanotify_alloc_event fs/notify/fanotify/fanotify.c:813 [inline] fanotify_handle_event+0x1130/0x3f40 fs/notify/fanotify/fanotify.c:948 send_to_group fs/notify/fsnotify.c:360 [inline] fsnotify+0xafb/0x1680 fs/notify/fsnotify.c:570 __fsnotify_parent+0x62f/0xa60 fs/notify/fsnotify.c:230 fsnotify_parent include/linux/fsnotify.h:77 [inline] fsnotify_file include/linux/fsnotify.h:99 [inline] fsnotify_access include/linux/fsnotify.h:309 [inline] __io_complete_rw_common+0x485/0x720 io_uring/rw.c:195 io_complete_rw+0x1a/0x1f0 io_uring/rw.c:228 iomap_dio_complete_work fs/iomap/direct-io.c:144 [inline] iomap_dio_bio_end_io+0x438/0x5e0 fs/iomap/direct-io.c:178 bio_endio+0x5f9/0x780 block/bio.c:1564 req_bio_endio block/blk-mq.c:695 [inline] blk_update_request+0x3fc/0x1300 block/blk-mq.c:825 scsi_end_request+0x7a/0x9a0 drivers/scsi/scsi_lib.c:541 scsi_io_completion+0x173/0x1f70 drivers/scsi/scsi_lib.c:971 scsi_complete+0x122/0x3b0 drivers/scsi/scsi_lib.c:1438 blk_complete_reqs+0xad/0xe0 block/blk-mq.c:1022 __do_softirq+0x1d3/0x9c6 kernel/softirq.c:571 invoke_softirq kernel/softirq.c:445 [inline] __irq_exit_rcu+0x123/0x180 kernel/softirq.c:650 irq_exit_rcu+0x5/0x20 kernel/softirq.c:662 common_interrupt+0xa9/0xc0 arch/x86/kernel/irq.c:240
