CVE-2025-68784 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix a UAF problem in xattr repair The xchk_setup_xattr_buf function can allocate a new value buffer, which means that any reference to ab->value before the call could become a dangling pointer. Fix this by moving an assignment to after the buffer setup.
CVE-2025-40037 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: simplefb: Fix use after free in simplefb_detach_genpds() The pm_domain cleanup can not be devres managed as it uses struct simplefb_par which is allocated within struct fb_info by framebuffer_alloc(). This allocation is explicitly freed by unregister_framebuffer() in simplefb_remove(). Devres managed cleanup runs after the device remove call and thus can no longer access struct simplefb_par. Call simplefb_detach_genpds() explicitly from simplefb_destroy() like the cleanup functions for clocks and regulators. Fixes an use after free on M2 Mac mini during aperture_remove_conflicting_devices() using the downstream asahi kernel with Debian's kernel config. For unknown reasons this started to consistently dereference an invalid pointer in v6.16.3 based kernels. CVE-2025-68783 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-mixer: us16x08: validate meter packet indices get_meter_levels_from_urb() parses the 64-byte meter packets sent by the device and fills the per-channel arrays meter_level[], comp_level[] and master_level[] in struct snd_us16x08_meter_store. Currently the function derives the channel index directly from the meter packet (MUB2(meter_urb, s) - 1) and uses it to index those arrays without validating the range. If the packet contains a negative or out-of-range channel number, the driver may write past the end of these arrays. Introduce a local channel variable and validate it before updating the arrays. We reject negative indices, limit meter_level[] and comp_level[] to SND_US16X08_MAX_CHANNELS, and guard master_level[] updates with ARRAY_SIZE(master_level).

CVE-2025-68780 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/deadline: only set free_cpus for online runqueues Commit 16b269436b72 ("sched/deadline: Modify cpudl::free_cpus to reflect rd->online") introduced the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions to allow the cpu_dl::free_cpus mask to be manipulated by the deadline scheduler class rq_on/offline callbacks so the mask would also reflect this state. Commit 9659e1eeee28 ("sched/deadline: Remove cpu_active_mask from cpudl_find()") removed the check of the cpu_active_mask to save some processing on the premise that the cpudl::free_cpus mask already reflected the runqueue online state. Unfortunately, there are cases where it is possible for the cpudl_clear function to set the free_cpus bit for a CPU when the deadline runqueue is offline. When this occurs while a CPU is connected to the default root domain the flag may retain the bad state after the CPU has been unplugged. Later, a different CPU that is transitioning through the default root domain may push a deadline task to the powered down CPU when cpudl_find sees its free_cpus bit is set. If this happens the task will not have the opportunity to run. One example is outlined here: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20250110233010.2339521-1-opendmb@gmail.com Another occurs when the last deadline task is migrated from a CPU that has an offlined runqueue. The dequeue_task member of the deadline scheduler class will eventually call cpudl_clear and set the free_cpus bit for the CPU. This commit modifies the cpudl_clear function to be aware of the online state of the deadline runqueue so that the free_cpus mask can be updated appropriately. It is no longer necessary to manage the mask outside of the cpudl_set/clear functions so the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions are removed. In addition, since the free_cpus mask is now only updated under the cpudl lock the code was changed to use the non-atomic __cpumask functions.

CVE-2025-68777 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ti_am335x_tsc - fix off-by-one error in wire_order validation The current validation 'wire_order[i] > ARRAY_SIZE(config_pins)' allows wire_order[i] to equal ARRAY_SIZE(config_pins), which causes out-of-bounds access when used as index in 'config_pins[wire_order[i]]'. Since config_pins has 4 elements (indices 0-3), the valid range for wire_order should be 0-3. Fix the off-by-one error by using >= instead of > in the validation check.
CVE-2025-39995 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: i2c: tc358743: Fix use-after-free bugs caused by orphan timer in probe The state->timer is a cyclic timer that schedules work_i2c_poll and delayed_work_enable_hotplug, while rearming itself. Using timer_delete() fails to guarantee the timer isn't still running when destroyed, similarly cancel_delayed_work() cannot ensure delayed_work_enable_hotplug has terminated if already executing. During probe failure after timer initialization, these may continue running as orphans and reference the already-freed tc358743_state object through tc358743_irq_poll_timer. The following is the trace captured by KASAN. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0 Write of size 8 at addr ffff88800ded83c8 by task swapper/1/0 ... CVE-2025-40001 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue During the detaching of Marvell's SAS/SATA controller, the original code calls cancel_delayed_work() in mvs_free() to cancel the delayed work item mwq->work_q. However, if mwq->work_q is already running, the cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel it. This can lead to use-after-free scenarios where mvs_free() frees the mvs_info while mvs_work_queue() is still executing and attempts to access the already-freed mvs_info. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) mvs_pci_remove() | mvs_free() | mvs_work_queue() cancel_delayed_work() | kfree(mvi) | | mvi-> // UAF Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure that the delayed work item is properly canceled and any executing delayed work item completes before the mvs_info is deallocated. This bug was found by static analysis.
CVE-2025-68316 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ufs: core: Fix invalid probe error return value After DME Link Startup, the error return value is set to the MIPI UniPro GenericErrorCode which can be 0 (SUCCESS) or 1 (FAILURE). Upon failure during driver probe, the error code 1 is propagated back to the driver probe function which must return a negative value to indicate an error, but 1 is not negative, so the probe is considered to be successful even though it failed. Subsequently, removing the driver results in an oops because it is not in a valid state. This happens because none of the callers of ufshcd_init() expect a non-negative error code. Fix the return value and documentation to match actual usage.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: fsl-cpm: Check length parity before switching to 16 bit mode Commit fc96ec826bce ("spi: fsl-cpm: Use 16 bit mode for large transfers with even size") failed to make sure that the size is really even before switching to 16 bit mode. Until recently the problem went unnoticed because kernfs uses a pre-allocated bounce buffer of size PAGE_SIZE for reading EEPROM. But commit 8ad6249c51d0 ("eeprom: at25: convert to spi-mem API") introduced an additional dynamically allocated bounce buffer whose size is exactly the size of the transfer, leading to a buffer overrun in the fsl-cpm driver when that size is odd. Add the missing length parity verification and remain in 8 bit mode when the length is not even.

CVE-2025-68771 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain syzbot reported a kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() because the `cl_next_free_rec` field of the allocation chain list (next free slot in the chain list) is 0, triggring the BUG_ON(!cl->cl_next_free_rec) condition in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() and panicking the kernel. To fix this, an if condition is introduced in ocfs2_claim_suballoc_bits(), just before calling ocfs2_find_victim_chain(), the code block in it being executed when either of the following conditions is true: 1. `cl_next_free_rec` is equal to 0, indicating that there are no free chains in the allocation chain list 2. `cl_next_free_rec` is greater than `cl_count` (the total number of chains in the allocation chain list) Either of them being true is indicative of the fact that there are no chains left for usage. This is addressed using ocfs2_error(), which prints the error log for debugging purposes, rather than panicking the kernel.
CVE-2025-68262 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: zstd - fix double-free in per-CPU stream cleanup The crypto/zstd module has a double-free bug that occurs when multiple tfms are allocated and freed. The issue happens because zstd_streams (per-CPU contexts) are freed in zstd_exit() during every tfm destruction, rather than being managed at the module level. When multiple tfms exist, each tfm exit attempts to free the same shared per-CPU streams, resulting in a double-free. This leads to a stack trace similar to: BUG: Bad page state in process kworker/u16:1 pfn:106fd93 page: refcount:0 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x0 pfn:0x106fd93 flags: 0x17ffffc0000000(node=0|zone=2|lastcpupid=0x1fffff) page_type: 0xffffffff() raw: 0017ffffc0000000 dead000000000100 dead000000000122 0000000000000000 raw: 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 00000000ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: nonzero entire_mapcount Modules linked in: ... CVE-2022-50616 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: core: Use different devices for resource allocation and DT lookup Following by the below discussion, there's the potential UAF issue between regulator and mfd. https://lore.kernel.org/all/20221128143601.1698148-1-yangyingliang@huawei.com/ From the analysis of Yingliang CPU A |CPU B mt6370_probe() | devm_mfd_add_devices() | |mt6370_regulator_probe() | regulator_register() | //allocate init_data and add it to devres | regulator_of_get_init_data() i2c_unregister_device() | device_del() | devres_release_all() | // init_data is freed | release_nodes() | | // using init_data causes UAF | regulator_register() It's common to use mfd core to create child device for the regulator. In order to do the DT lookup for init data, the child that registered the regulator would pass its parent as the parameter. And this causes init data resource allocated to its parent, not itself. The issue happen when parent device is going to release and regulator core is still doing some operation of init data constraint for the regulator of child device. To fix it, this patch expand 'regulator_register' API to use the different devices for init data allocation and DT lookup.

CVE-2025-39999 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: fix blk_mq_tags double free while nr_requests grown In the case user trigger tags grow by queue sysfs attribute nr_requests, hctx->sched_tags will be freed directly and replaced with a new allocated tags, see blk_mq_tag_update_depth(). The problem is that hctx->sched_tags is from elevator->et->tags, while et->tags is still the freed tags, hence later elevator exit will try to free the tags again, causing kernel panic. Fix this problem by replacing et->tags with new allocated tags as well. Noted there are still some long term problems that will require some refactor to be fixed thoroughly[1]. CVE-2022-50733 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: idmouse: fix an uninit-value in idmouse_open In idmouse_create_image, if any ftip_command fails, it will go to the reset label. However, this leads to the data in bulk_in_buffer[HEADER..IMGSIZE] uninitialized. And the check for valid image incurs an uninitialized dereference. Fix this by moving the check before reset label since this check only be valid if the data after bulk_in_buffer[HEADER] has concrete data. Note that this is found by KMSAN, so only kernel compilation is tested.
